Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Vermont Country Store is a go-to when getting any kind of gifts for the Old Folks.

I did find this [link] rather startling when I got my catalog.

Also, TB, both Penney's and Sears are pretty reliable for age-enhanced persons, and Hanes.com is a good source for cheap, good quality fleece pants and the like.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and Hanes.com is a good source for cheap, good quality fleece pants and the like.

Oh great, now Perkins is going to bookmark that.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

All kinds of ~ma for your step-aunt, Raq. Peace and strength for the whole family.

Oy, I feel like crap, today. I think I got all of three hours of sleep last night and now I'm all woozey and achey. Bah.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I was without internet or email all last week, so I'm catching up.

Raq, fyi, there's a Bible-type store on King Street in Alexandria - somewhere between the Metro station and Washington.

Among the things I did last week (aside from catching up from three months' sleep debt) I went to museums. Bunches of them. And discovered the wonder that is IMAX 3-D. wow. Also, my church reopened after seven months of renovation - it's beautiful - close to a century of dirt and grime removed, everything cleaned, painted, and polished. Very nice to be back.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I did find this [link] rather startling when I got my catalog.

Yeah, but I find it heartening to think that people of A Certain Age still want to get busy.

I must be wearing my emotions close to the surface if an lol kitten can make me cry.

Trust my rage

The big giant hand's notes say that Autumn left yesterday too. But I only see three puppies today.

Did the puppies change containers recently? Because now I'm seeing a room instead of a kennel.
