omnis, when I was a kid I'd just stick one in my mouth and suck on it. Can't say I've done that in a long time, even though I've got some in my pantry.
Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
you heard it. Party at SJ's. 1st place prize to the person who can get a good picture that show's the red stripey highlights! BYOB.
Directions?
Omnis, if you have a microplane grater, you should be able to grate cinnamon sticks on that. Or you could get a spare cheap coffee grinder to grind them in.
Directions?
Take a five hour flight from Dallas to Providence and call me when you get to the airport.
Really more buffistas should visit and more often.
Somehow taking the hammer in the tool kit to smash the cinn-stick doesn't sound appetizing, or practical.
Totally practical, but messy. If you have a rolling pin, that works too.
I wanna see stripey red highlights! :stomps feet: NOW!
ION, last night I went to the website that the gay marriage banning folk have in order to inspect the list of donors to their cause. While it made me feel extremely dirty just being there, I was determined to make a list of the people in my own state that have donated money to them so that I can be sure that I never do business with them.
Well what should I find other than a contractor that I've been speaking with about adding on a bathroom to my Aunt J's house!!
I've already called him today and told him that I won't be needing his services and that the reason was because he donated money to take away the basic civil rights of others. And then he hung up on me.
It's been a decent day.
eta: it was protect marriage dot com and I think everyone should check out the donor list for their state.
Nicole, you're my hero.
My friend at the place I applied for and interviewed at on MOnday (Monday seems SO long ago!) says HR asked her for her reference in writing today.
She seems to think things are looking good for me!!
I don't think I've told you guys about this job, which I am really excited about. I'd be 1/2 the learning instructor, 1/2 a client advocate at a teen shelter in town (please don't make it as exciting as the one in Angel!). I'd be responsible for making sure that the kids in shelter (max 14) who could still get to school can get there, and the ones who can't, getting their homework and working on it in the mornings, working on GED stuff with the older ones, all kinds of educational stuff in the mornings. And then in the afternoons, a grab bag of things.
It seems really perfect for me, since I love the teaching and the one-on-one helping students out with their problems equally. I'm excited.
And I go to a sleep disorders doctor at 2:30 today. I still think sleep studies are silly, but maybe they've changed in 6 years. Honestly? I'm hoping for an alternative for or someone who can authorize a larger dosage of Ambien, since the 10 mg/day legal dose my body is kinda laughing at nowadays.
Nicole that is so awesome!
Go Nicole!!! Hey - sending you an e in a minute...
