I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh Karl, love. I am so sorry. Anything on the horizon, or have you not had the power to think about it yet?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Aw, Karl, that sucks. It's nice to see you here, but the reason why you have the time is crappy. Much job~ma for you.

Oh, fuck, Karl. I hope you can find something else quickly.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

A few possibilities through former colleagues. Unfortunately, most of these take the form of brilliant schemes without funding, and the startup world of Northern California lives and dies by the whims of the venture capitalists, who are, of course, excreting a collective brick over the current economic asshattery.

I'm thinking it might be time to take a big honking pay cut and try to find something quiet and socially meaningful, like maintaining servers for a progressive non-profit. Startup culture is toxic after a while, anyway. It'd be good to do something that made me feel like I was actually making the world a better place. Doing that and keeping up on the rent ... well, I'm a bright boy. I'll think of something.

ETA: Sail, I'm paid through the end of this month, which, yeah, Thursday and Friday were holidays already. They'll pay my medical premiums for the next two months, but that's about it as far as severance goes. The fact is, they're just plain out of money.
