Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

Crowe, possibly, has become less overtly tooltastic.

Yeah, I think the whole marriage and babies thing really has mellowed him somewhat.

Knowing about prime numbers also helps you see why a package of brownie mix that says it makes 11 brownies is just silly. (Saw that several years ago. On a package that also said to bake the brownies in an 8x8 pan and cut them into 2-inch brownies.)

it relies on the fact that every natural number has one, and ONLY one, decomposition into prime factors -- so there's only one pair of primes that will make this very large number, but there's no polynomial-time algorithm to compute the factorization

Just when I think I'm a smart person, along comes math to smack me up alonside the head and say, "Oh, you are SO not all that, girlfriend!" And it does that finger snap thing and smirks.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Then again, Ricky Gervais used to be a slim pretty boy. [link] So.

Now I'm compulsively imagining William Beckett ageing Gervaisishly and it's freaking me out.

Because books.

Curiously, I find Large Val Kilmer more appealing than Ripped Val Kilmer. I think it's the Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang associations in my head.

On first glance at Large Val Kilmer, on the front page of that link, I thought it was Jeff Bridges.

And vw, I'm actually glad that you googled because people that suspect that they have some horrible disease never have it. It's only the unsuspecting folk that have stuff like that happen. Yay?

What she said!!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yeah. Not exactly a fate worse than death.

I really, really do not want to go to work.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Well, the math isn't exactly keeping me warm at night, but it is kind of comforting when literary deconstruction and political analysis makes me feel really dumb.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I'm at work and I really, really do not want to be here. The brain is just not clicking and I could take a nap without much effort. I guess that whopping 4 hours of sleep wasn't quite enough.

Thanks for the ~ma....hopefully by this time tomorrow I'll know more. I hate the waiting. HATES it.
