When that wasn't a good enough answer, I tried, "I don't need it," and that was good enough, it seemed. Really, "I don't want it" seems like a much better answer than "I don't need it" -- the first one is at least definitely the truth, while the second could very well be false.
'Dirty Girls'
Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Woke up. One more day for the weekend. Could have used more sleep, silly late to sleep me.
And so bored online that I just emailed my dad this morning a list of "hey, what's up?" questions. He didn't answer yet, but I already regret it.
Headlines today says Jordan implored Israel not to go on operation on Gaza Strip. One of the "yeah, I already know the answer to this question, but for the slim chance something's new" questions I sent my dad was if we're gonna visit my sister in her base this weekend. I fear they might shut down families' visits for a while, until things will cool down a little bit.
No lay off~ma to billytea.
meara is very cute.
something about that picture makes me state the obvious.
Safety~ma for your sister, Peace~ma for the whole area, Shir.
The guy wouldn't leave until I'd given him a reason to write down on his clipboard.
Wha? I think my answer, at that point, would have been, "because it's none of your damn business." Or something angry like that.
So much ~ma to billytea, SuziQ, and Shir!
Adorable cut, meara.
Neti pots scare me, but I plug my nose in the shower too. Very sensitive nasal passages here.
I feel good about the Prop 8 court session. I know I live in a perpetual state of optimism but I keep envisioning the court smacking this thing down hard.
~ma all round for jobs and health and peace on earth while we are at it.
Sorry about the long awful ER visit, Hil. I've had 6 HIV tests (unless I forgot some). I refused the last one they asked for when I was pregnant with Bobby. Never again. I never really thought they would be positive, but they always had a stress element. The encouraging bone marrow treatment possibility may lead me to be tested for being a donor. Over 20 years ago the doctors suggested I might be immune. We'll see how the research stuff goes. I'll be watching.
DH got into Atlanta about midnight but I haven't heard from him this morning. He should be at the airport again already. I really hope he didn't sleep in.
Travel~ma for Laura's DH.
Justice~ma for Prop 8.
As for me, the throat, while still sore, is definitely down to a dull roar, more tender than painful - for which I am extremely thankful. Mostly, I'm just tired, so maybe I'll feed the felines then go back to bed.
much ~ma to BillyTea, SuziQ, and ongoing ~ma to Shir.
Newly 4-year-old Iris, on the topic of young Mal this morning:
"I want him to be my brother!"
us: "ok? Why?"
"So then we can see each other all the time!"
us: "sounds great - you can live down there and we can go out on dates and have lives and things. Why do you think he'd make a good brother?"
"Because he does what I tell him to."
us, stifling laughter: "oh?"
"yes! All the time! And he listens to me and I can help do things because he has all the great movies."
us: "ahhh. ha! That will be an interesting conversation between the two of you regarding ownership."
"and sometimes, when he's not listening to the adults or running away from everyone, I can help - like a big sister does. You can hear me say 'Mal, you should listen, because I listen and ... well? look how big I've grown. Because he's littler than me."
us: ... trying to make like crickets, but failing utterly. Gales of laughter. Gales.
As for me, the throat, while still sore, is definitely down to a dull roar
I think it was the medicinal properties of the mint chocolate shake. Repeat as needed.
Mal should totally listen to Iris.
OMG. Iris is to cute! Iris & Mal are definitely a OTP.
