Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

BFF's husband got to the polls at 5AM (they open at 6 in VA). First in line was a 62 year old African American man who was voting for the first time. He was really excited, had people take his picture next to the VOTE HERE sign, taking pictures of the people in line. He'd been there since 2AM because he wanted to be first. SO CUTE.

It's like Democracy Bandom!

we only had 3 propositions on the ballot, thankfully.

No doubt. I didn't vote on one of them. Just couldn't decide.

Deena! Turn it off! Or, I could join you, call you, and we could fret together.

I went got to the polls at 12:45 and was out before 1pm. This morning, the lines were hella long, with people waiting two hours or more to vote.

I had brought a book and knitting with me. I used neither.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, new thread!

TCG made my day by e-mailing me that one of my favorite children's author's is going to be signing books locally on Friday! I wonder if he'll sign one of his books that I have had since I was a baby? The other question is, if he will only sign one book, do I get one for a child in my life or for myself?
