“Not dead yet!”

Oh man, the nerves in my left leg (the one with the bruised ankle) are not happy-- my leg is twitching and aching and I can't take anything because of how upset my stomach has been.

Wish me luch getting to sleep and staying there.

And much ~ma, sleep, pain, or otherwise, to anyone who needs it.

Obama's grandmother passed away. Just shy of the big day

oh, that's too bad. You know that she was hanging on as long as she could.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

You know that she was hanging on as long as she could.

Yeah. It really sucks. I hope the next few days are filled with both great joy as well as this sorrow in the Obama household.

Erin, you don't have to explain yourself, you only have to be yourself.

Barb, hope the leg calms down.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

~ma of all sorts to Erin.

The surgery I had... well, I have no idea what exactly they were doing, but I know it was for closing the gap between my two front teeth. It involved some bone removal from the jaw, and all sorts of fun like this.

On the other hand, I'm now practiced with laughing without moving my upper lip. People say it looks really funny, as if I'm freezing in the middle of my way to laugh.

leg and sleep~ma to Barb.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

VW, how are you doing over there? I hope ok.

Barb, home you get some rest.

Erin, if I've learned anything about this group, it's that they are very supportive. Also, if you have problems, it could help you to talk about them. That said, there are some things that one just doesn't want to share, and I totally respect that. So big hugs for you. I hope things turn around in your favor soon.

ION. I think I might have convinced my mom to vote No on 8! SOooOOooo glad I called!!! I used her teachings against her! Talking about CIVIL RIGHTS and not being afraid of people because they are 'different' (I know, I know, not the best phrasing, but it was the wording she used on me as a kid, so I figured turnaround is fair play). At the beginning she was adamant YES. By the end she was like "huh, interesting, hadn't thought of it that way... but they are forcing it on the children in school!" Tolerance mom, they are teaching tolerance. Here is to hoping it carries into the voting booth. Oh, and shock of shocks, she's voting Blue! A lifelong republican! granted, she was pretty moderate, but still! Now if only her crazy right-wing brother would swing blue, then we know it's snowing in hell.

Plug n play my ass!
...Not A Tagline But Should Be.
If I didn't have suck a kick ass one from Shir right now, I might take it. Feel free to for your tagline.

Our wings are not tired.

Well done with the mom education, o-a. Today's the day! Finally! DH just left to go to the polls. He took his list I printed out for him. Of course he had to tease me and say he was voting yes on our marriage intolerance amendment and that he was voting McCain.

I know a number of lifelong Republicans that are going Obama. It gives me reason to hope.

Barb, I hope you were able to get some good sleep and that the leg is much better this morning.

Off to wake my son for the 3rd time.

“Not dead yet!”

Thanks for the ~ma y'all. Unfortunately, the leg never really settled down and I had a really bad night. Which is making me exceedingly bad-tempered. Lewis has the day off and he's still trying to sleep, poor guy, and I just nearly ripped my children's heads off for being louder than I can tolerate right now.

Probably a good thing I voted early. Standing in line with McCain supporters would have tried my patience mightily.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep, so I got up and ate leftover Halloween-sized Snickers.

Now I feel like I'm going to barf and/or my entire lower GI tract is going to rebel against me and flee to Tahiti. Without me.

And I'm thinking a disembodied lower GI tract floating around would not be as cool-looking as the Dr. Manhattan nervous system from Watchmen.

(And while I was Googling for an image of Dr. Manhattan's disembodied nervous system, I found this [which is not Dr. Manhattan's nervous system, but still Watchmen-related]: [link] LOVE!)

well, I'm in line in DC. DC is overwhelmingly democratic, so I don't think I'll have that problem.

The line was a block and a half long, it's now 2 blocks!
