Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Tom and I went over budget things today, and things are not as dire as we feared. Yay for facing fear! We feel a little better. Things are tight and will continue to be, but we'll be OK for a while.

Thoughts and prayers to Aimee and her family.

Yay, Nora! That's wonderful news!

I just got up like 45 minutes ago. I had great hopes for getting much done today, but my hip hurts, so I'm not sure much of anything is going to get done. Grrr...

Dear Linens n Things,

When you have a "going out of business" sale, with great big signs that say "everything must go!!!!", I expect actual bargains. 10-40% off is bullshitting. When you have a real sale, call me.

Love,
Me

TCG just called me to find out where in CVS he could find the gift cards. He's at the CVS. I'm home. I suggested he might want to ask someone that works there.

Aimee, I'm so sorry about your grandma. Love and hugs and ~ma to you and your family.

My mother is in the CCU, but the surgery went well and although she's exhausted and miserable, I could see improvement in the few hours I was able to be with her yesterday. I'm heading over to the hospital again shortly, and will likely be dark grey for the duration. Thank you so much everyone. I really appreciate your support, good thoughts, ~ma and prayers. A lot.

kind of xposted with Press and LJ.

I actually made out pretty well at the LnT going out of biz sale. Redecorated my office with some lovely new materials.

I happened to be at BedBathnBeyond yesterday and realized just why LnT went out of business. I suspect it had less to do with the economy and more to do with being horribly disorganized. BBnB was awesome in comparison.
