Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yay for Suzi's yellow belt.

Not so yay for Teppy's anxiety attack. I wish there was an easy fix for that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you want the rundown on dark polishes, ask Plei. I refuse to acknowledge nail polish that isn't black. Unless it's black with red micro glitter.

Not even charcoal nail polish? MAC had some that looked decent, but it doesn't go with my skin tone as well as I wish. The Vintage Vamp that I got is GREAT. I'm very happy with it. The lipstick will take some getting used to. It's more purple than I normally wear. And very matte. Is matte in? Because I'm still entranced with a hookery gloss. I have a lovely overgloss I use--I forget the vendor.

Congrats Suzi!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

When I was in high school, I had this dark grey nail polish from Urban Decay that drove my mother nuts. Which may have been part of the reason I wore it so often. I think it was called Gunmetal. I have no idea if they still make it, though.

I used to wear Gunmetal! It's dark enough for me. The lighter greys, although I'd wear them in clothing, make me look yellow when I wear them on my nails.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

ita, my favorite black polish is Wet 'n Wild's "Wild Shine" formula. It's opaque enough that I only need to put one coat of polish on for full coverage. I know there's a charcoal polish that Plei really likes, I just don't remember the name of it. Raven's Wing, maybe?

Yes, matte lipstick is in, according to some of the fashion blogs.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Oh, Tep, love. I hope you're feeling a bit better.

What's the situation with your meds? I mean, I get that you've had plenty of catalysts for feeling head-go-boom, but it sounds like this has been a very scary day in terms of your reactions and stress levels and stuff - have you changed your meds lately? Or maybe your body chemistry is reacting differently to something now, and you need some different meds? Because this is just a universe of not fair, love.

Our wings are not tired.

Tep, it's already dark o'clock now, but I hope your evening got better, hon.

Suzi, I am so damned fucking proud of you for getting your yellow belt!! So cool!

I'm back from the Janeane Garofalo show in North Beach, which was enjoyable, but upset that not only did the gimlet give me an upset stomach, but I managed to also get an $85 parking ticket (which I will fight - because I never travel without a camera, and I can prove that it's a scam - but still...super annoying).

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Gah, Tep. I'm sorry. You don't need this, on top of all the other shit that's hit.

Not even charcoal nail polish? MAC had some that looked decent, but it doesn't go with my skin tone as well as I wish. The Vintage Vamp that I got is GREAT. I'm very happy with it. There are a lot of lovely charcoals this year. Check the new OPI holiday line for '08, which has a charcoal AND a shimmering black.

The Raven's Wing, Jilli, is NOT charcoal. It's black with a lot of silver/antique gold shimmer. Decidedly not black.

For vampy shimmer, I love Sinful Cosmetic's Rich in Heart, which a near-black with a strong, deep red shimmer.
