Feeling like your own worst enemy, Hil? Hope you can get some rest soon.
Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Hey folks, feels like I've not talked in a long time.
Feeling like your own worst enemy, Hil?
Pretty much, yeah.
My season 3 House DVDs got delivered today, so I watched those. Possibly not the best choice while trying to stay calm. Also, discovered my limit for number of House episodes I can watch in a row is six.
On the plus side, I think that, while the caffeine was giving me focus but not heart palpitations, I was able to solve a problem in my research that's been causing a zillion other problems.

Hi! What's happening?
Been working on Halloween Horror Nights for most of the past month and a half.
Dang, ND! Does it always take that much prep work for Halloween Horror Nights? I should be sleeping. I'm not. This is not a good plan.
when did they drop "devil" and become just The Rays? Where they not getting enough Baptists in the crowd or something?
This year. They changed before this first year when they didn't lose. I suspect there was some need to - not pander to but - appeal to people put off with the other name. They still have actual stingrays out in a pool behind centerfield.
Does it always take that much prep work for Halloween Horror Nights?
Yeah, we started installation on Sept. 10th. We did a preview night for the employees on Oct. 1 and we've been open to the public since Oct. 3. It's a pretty big event. We've been hitting 20,000+ people on many nights.

with that, I should go to bed. how did it get to be 3am already? How is it I did nothing all day? Oh right. The show is open! Oh, and the doing nothing all day thing... it felt GREAT! Didn't even open the work laptop. Fuck em. If only the Stargate discs were ready from the library, I'd have mainstreamed a whole season today, easy.
Man, it's like a whole other town, that side of the city. But there is so much good stuff, I can't blame you for loving it.
It really is-- but nothing can beat the West Side Market. Farmer's market on CRACK!
What I really loved about Hudson, though was that you had this little New England (as opposed to typically Midwest town) just outside of Cleveland, with this wonderfully funky Northern Exposure sort of vibe. We really thought we were going to be there for the long haul.
But alas--not to be, My tribute, however, was my fictional small town in Accent is completely based on Hudson.
