Mac user with Word 2004 for Mac who edits articles created in Word 2008 (or, at least, *tries* to edit articles created in Word 2008)
I updated to 2008 because we needed a multi-user Word for the kids to have it on their computers. I fucking loathe the docx.- so I set my preferences to save to .doc. Let's see if it takes because if there's anything I've discovered about this version of Word, is that it's unstable.
Signed, missing Word 2004.
Uh-huh. And I'm cleaning my kitchen and living room. See how it sparkles?!
Like an emo-vampire!
Need more coffee. Clearly.
Vortex, much patience ~ma. Hang in there, sweetie-- matricide never a good thing.
Vortex, you remind me how happy I am to live an 8 hour drive from my parents.
Like an emo-vampire!
Ha! Like a bigass procrastinatory emo-vampire. That's the life, man. You don't eat food, so you never have to do the dishes. And they probably love dust - makes their lairs all the more dramatic and gothic.
Am done cleaning. And now my only reward is that I get to go to work. Yay?
Right?? I'ma take a long lunch today and go pick up my
Buffy. (I was going to do that anyway, but now I'm going to call it a reward).
And how are you feeling, vw? Is your hip better?
It is doing better. I did too much yesterday and was wrecked last night. But, I went to bed, and I'm doing ok so far today. I go back and see the chiro today too.
Other reasons for calling this a sucky Monday: A coworker's father passed away yesterday. She's one of those people who really brings this place together, so we are all really sad for her and her family. And yet, it's the first year student's first day, so we all have to be happy! perky! welcoming! when we'd all just like a group hug and a little alcohol.
Oh, how sad, Sparky.
Glad you're doing better, vw. Try not to over do it today! Sorry, I couldn't help it. Sometimes I can't help being a mother even though I'm not one.
Oh, Sparky, bummer. I hate putting on a happy face, and pretty much suck at it.
Annual report submission done! Unless I have revisions to do. Funnily enough, my supervisor did the exact same thing I did - saved as a .docx and couldn't work on it at home.
I'm off to tour a recycling facility - hoping I can convince him to stop for lunch on the way back. Later, chickpeas!
