Can I mop your brow? I am at the ready with the fearsome brow-mop.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

For some reason, looking at the various music videos compelled me to go to YouTube and look up the video for "Cry Little Sister" from Lost Boys.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Jilli has now earwormed me, at least I love that song. I might have to watch Lost Boys this week, too.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I just spent 15 minutes trying to explain to a computer that I want to change my internet connection from one line to the next. I am not moving. I am not changing phone companies. I am currently typing to you through the line I'm moving the computer to. The computer wouldn't take e-mail address because it has characters that aren't on the phone. I finally got through to a person, who said he would transfer me to the right person. Then the line went dead.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Sorry, perpetuating negative girl stereotypes is a total trigger of mine. I simply must speak when I see it, even when it's minor and obvious that the person speaking is speaking of their own experience.

I am with the glamorous cookie. So pretty! Good luck with the baby making.

I found out today I am due for my first mammogram (yippee!) & my doc is also concerned that I've put on 18 pounds in 6 years.

Heh, Tom's put on 50 pounds in at most 2 years. I think it's something that happens when we get older, go on medications, lifestyles change, etc. IMHO, 3 pounds a year is not so extreme.

Hell, I have a 30 pound range and I go up and down it fairly regularly. I always hang onto my clothes so that whenever I gain or lose weight I always can haz something to wear!

We are keeping an eye on Tom's weight though, in case the weight gain is pointing to something weird going on healthwise.

In othes news, I got a ricer (used, for $4) and it was a REVELATION when I made mashed potatoes for dinner. OMG.

Holy smokes, I'm exhausted.

Absolutely gorgeous. Highs in the low 70s, lows in the mid 40s. There is a 40-50 percent chance of rain Thursday and Friday.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

thanks for the perspective. I will not feel guilty for chowing down on almost an entire bag of Pirate's Booty.

I do think I would be happier if I ate healthier and exercised more often. The dog would be happier too- if the exercise included her. When I was at my fittest I know the twice-daily dog walks were a contributing factor (my physically demanding job was the other). If I could get in the habit of waking up early every day and taking the dog for a walk, before long she would start waking me and demanding it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I know I have mentioned it here before, but think all Buffistas need to watch the video for "Walking on Broken Glass" so they can see the HAWTT Annie Lennox and the young John Malkovich and Hugh Laurie in powdered wigs and make-up. Not 80s, but just after. [link]

IONof coincidental nature, my doctor told me I had to lose weight today as well. Other than that, though, I seem to be in excellent health.
