But if the world doesn't end, I'm gonna need a note.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

It's too bad he isn't playing a Mr. Exposition character - you could give his lines away to others and say, "Oh, did we forget to tell you? However could that have happened, I'm sure we discussed that during rehearsal."

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

JZ and I saw a stage adaptation of "The Monk" last night, which was as entirely baroquely gothic as one would expect. Most enjoyable.

Oh, cool! Rana's in that. As I'm sure you knew. Heh. My friend Dan saw it last week.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

If technology doesn't want to cooperate, can I not have to do anything?

  • my work laptop doesn't seem to want to open the A CHRISTMAS CAROL file so I can see what the sound playback was last year(s). Keeps crashing. Ugg. Not sure if it's an SFX thing, a "windows on a Mac" thing, or a Windows thing. Either way, the thing ain't happening

  • trying to make a duplicate of last years archive DVD of said same show, and it gets about 2/3rds of the way through the 1st phase, copying, and just about to start the actual burning of DVD's when it pops up "um, this might be copy protected, can not finish request". Shouldn't you check that before coping? And no, it's not, unless the idiots last year checked the box to. It looks like it might have been burned using Nero. Not sure. Either way, blah. strike 2.

  • all of this is happening while I am plum out of Stargate DVD's to watch! So, no happy distractions while I try and figure out what size sledgehammer to use toscare the computer into working.

Aside from that, had a lovely most-of-weekend catching up on sleep and relaxing. Next weekend I hope to go out and play some! Daisy Jane, got any plans? Oh, and rumor has it I'm getting Wednesday off (day after opening) and thinking of hitting the Fort Worth Art Museum and the impressionist exhibit. Can you escape from work?

Our wings are not tired.

I watched no sports this weekend. Hope all the right teams won. Kisses for the various ouchies. Safe and sane travels for Sparky.

I worked all weekend, but sat outside enjoying cool breezes last evening and slept with the windows open! I'll have to close up again today, but it was a special treat.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Why grammar is important, part 930:

"After being found guilty of murdering his wife and two children, the jury is considering whether to impose the death penalty."

Sigh.

The combination of being unable to fall asleep until after 2 and then waking up at 5 = gronk².

(Too gronked to superscript the first time.)

The gronk is, indeed, mighty.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I woke up with a headache this morning. However, I have coffee, so all hope is not lost. As a method of distraction, while waiting for said coffee, I scrubbed out my kitchen trash receptable. That's just a little too motivated for being undercaffinated.

I come from the Ginger, Fay and others school of timekeeping. My daughter finds it most frustrating, so through her scolding loving prompting, I at least show up for my hair appointments on time.

“Not dead yet!”

I'm that rarity for a Cuban, someone who's almost obsessively on time. I put it down to being Very Very Virgo.

Shir, I'm so sorry for your woes. I hope things let up, at least for a while.

That mother (Sarvis's mom) ... that's a serious overreaction. And, yes, that article will be a good introduction for his therapist(s).

In other news, have you seen this? I'm looking at you, Aims.

eta: eep! I forgot to add my congratulations to billytea and wallybee! congratulations!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm looking at you, Aims.

What? I got nothin'.

Ahem.
