I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

I have two facebooks -- one for friends, one for students.

I think I'm going to have to do this, too.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

How Obama does not just heave an enormous sigh and put his head in his hands I do not know.

Our wings are not tired.

His self restraint and composure is quite remarkable.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

His self restraint and composure is quite remarkable.

And why the electorate now feels comfortable with the idea of him being President.

No Angry Black Man there.

(Sometimes I'd swear McCain says the shit he says to try and piss Obama the fuck off.)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So not sorry I didn't watch if that's how y'all are reacting.

He was not my first choice, but I have to say that his composure under fire has impressed me. I admit to being slow to warm up to Barack, but several things have converted me. First, I am impressed with his decision making processes and skill. Example the best, Biden vs. Palin. Second, the cool unflappable composure. This is probably the same factor that contributed to it taking a while for me to warm to him, but staying cool and composed under extreme pressure is a admirable quality. So, perhaps late to the party, but total fan girl. Go Obama!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Barack was not my first choice either, but I came around to him with his speech after the Rev. Wright stuff blew up.

“Not dead yet!”

Not my first choice either, but the calm and cool, plus the willingness to admit he's said some really boneheaded things have been key in winning me over.

After eight years of a toddler screaming that he wasn't wrong, no, no, no, no way was he wrong! it's refreshing to see someone in a leadership position willing to say, "Yeah, I was wrong."
