Shir, I'm so sorry for your loss.
You know what's nice? Cooking. I'm not too sure about the eating part, but through all of this crazy times in meland, cooking makes sense.
Someone will have to eat all of this.
You have just described how my friend Elana (the head of the local Jam Economy) deals with stress. Which reminds me that I should ask her to come over soon and make food. She likes playing in other people's kitchens.
It's how I dealt with the idiocy that was my day today.
People are still stupid, but it's made a great deal more palatable with homemade split pea soup with ham.
Shir, I'm so sorry for your loss.
ION, I just got back from the doctor (still can't hear out of left ear; vertigo is 90% better). He says the non-hearing ear still shows fluid built up, but the fluid doesn't look infected. However, since when I blow my nose it's green,* he wants me on a different antibiotic.
If there's no improvement in 5-ish days, he's either going to start a second round of steroids (arrgh!!! the mood swings! the itching!) or sent me to an ENT (not an Ent).
*(When I blow my nose, it's ALWAYS green -- I mean, for MONTHS or longer. I guess that means I was ignoring an infection? Ooops. I just hate to contribute to excessive/inappropriate prescribing of antibiotics. Meh.)
Aw, Shir, that...there's no words.
I'm so sorry.
Thanks for posting the link to that amazing artwork, Shir. I'm very sorry for your loss.
Tea:
The adaptive technology that is supposed to be covered for converting my car? I can't find anyone on the phone who knows a frelling thing about it.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Shir.
Backflung, Aimee.
