You got fired, and you still hang around here like a big loser. Why can't he?

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

And I've got a picture up now.

See, this is how come I knew you were you! Foamy!

Woot, Nicole! Congratulations!

Congratulations Nicole!

Happy birthday, to Cashmere, Matt, and Megan!

And now for something completely different:

At what point should I become concerned if Jeeves is exhibiting cold symptoms? I think he picked up a bug when I took him to the vet on Thursday. He's sneezy and lethargic, and his nose is wet and very warm to the touch. He's still eating, and while very low in energy, doesn't seem withdrawn or in distress.

I'm calling the vet in the morning, but is there anything that should send up a go-to-the-emergency-vet red flag

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Calling the vet in the morning is exactly what I would do with those symptoms. Just in case there are further developments, or for future reference, here is a handy dandy guide to sorting symptoms that are emergencies from non-emergencies [link]

Aw, shucks. I felt foamy. And I was in exceptionally foamy company that night. Too bad you couldn't make it - you could have whipped us into froth.

Thank you, Andi. I think this is just a cold, but I'd hate to miss something major through ignorance. I've bookmarked that site--I hope I never have to use it, but it'll be good to have on hand just in case.

Spaying our kitty is going to cost fifty euro, which is about eighty dollars, I think? It would be less if she was a boy.

I'm home sick today, so will be catching up on the board, while not sleeping.

Anyone know what kind of headache is on one side, gets worse with movement, lasts two days, but isn't a migraine? Also, doesn't respond to painkillers much.

Taz totally has a cold. He woke me up this morning by sneezing in my face.

It's a good thing he's so cute and otherwise awesome.

He is getting better though, back to his old self.

I'm getting the pig!

It might be sinus related. Have you tried a decongestant?

And Happy belated Birthday wishes to Cashmere, Matt, and Megan!

I agree. I get sinus headaches on my left side, sometimes I'm not even stuffed up at all. Usually allergy related. As for painkillers not working, if it's sinus related, once you alleviate the pressure with a decongestant, you'll be fine. although if you have something with a decongestant and a pain reliever, that might be best.

Okay, the latest airline bullshit? I booked a ticket on Orbitz, realized that I didn't get a seat assignment. I called the airline, because if you don't have a seat assignment, they don't guarantee you a seat on the plane (even if you have a ticket in your hand). I'm told that I can't get a seat assignment on my outbound flight until 24 hours before the flight, or I can PAY six dollars to get a seat assignment now. I can get a seat on the return because it was a higher fare. I know that it's $6, and I'm not even paying it because it's work travel, but WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?! I'm never flying AirTran again.
