Further proof that the economy is fucked up (as if we needed it). I was just denied for a loan with my mother co-signing for it. My mother with no debt and perfect credit. WTF?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

ugh, sj. I'm so sorry.

I have a funny feeling I'm going to have to borrow about $6K at the end of the year to cover my tuition (I get refunded after the class is finished) and I'm nervous that I won't be able to get a loan!

I'm trying to think if it might make more sense to borrow it from a relative but I hate to ask in these times, even my more well off relatives.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

My former Wells cronies have informed me that they are giving money to no one. Absolutely no one. I'm sorry, sj.

I'm not sure the student loan industry is in quite the same predicament as the housing and banking industries, but it may depend on where you get your loan.

I was gonna hit up my credit union...

I'm glad I got my car loan a couple of months ago. My credit should be good, but I have no real collateral to put up, so I'm not sure that would matter these days.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

sj, I'm sorry.

And sorry for the meme drama, but I need a big cheer up, dammit. I was today at the hospital, visiting my dying grandpa, one of a few relatives who's dying. Wasn't easy. Back home with my parents. I got All Alone of Six Feet Under taped a week before people started dying around me, because that's the episode that made me cry like I never cried before in fornt of the screen. So, you know, because I hate feeling sorry for myself, I will have this to process things through. So I planned to have an easy night, and find something easy to watch before I'll get all cathartic with All Alone. Continued to watch Cold Feet, only to discover I got to the one where Rachel dies. (I don't think that counts for spoiler, but better safe...).

I'm just tired of taking funeral clothes with me wherever I go these days, just in case.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My family had a year like that. We just never stopped being sad.

I'm sorry, Shir. My family just had a year like that (well, on Thanksgiving it'll be a year) too.

It fucking sucks.

(((Shir))) I'm so sorry for all you are going through.

Mom called the bank and apparently if both mom and stepdad co-sign and I put another $1000 down, I'll probably be approved on Monday.
