One of the comments from Toddson's link made me chuckle... and made me a little sad:

After I posted that I thought it was a good thing the guy decided to dump holy water on the teacher ... unpleasant and possibly damaging to clothing, but not dangerous to life and limb.
Indeed. Clearly, a person with issues; fortunately, an inept person with issues.
You know that deadline that got moved up ten days - it's now been pushed up one more day because my boss is taking off tomorrow. He says "it's just putting in the words and pictures" ... leaving out the making it look nice, making everything fit, making it JUST the way he wants. sigh ... looks like another late night for me.
Ok. I understand that for a sleep study they want you unmedicated so they can see how you actually sleep naturally. But, people, I WILL NOT SLEEP without my medication, so it's kind of pointless to see how I sleep if I won't sleep.

Well, yes. There is that as well. She told me to have my psychopharm call if he wants to over-rule them. I see him today. I'm sure he's going to over-rule. He's kind of like that.
Any English teachers around? What age range would you say Island of the Blue Dolphins is written towards?
Amazon gives it as a 9-12 age range which seems about right. I think I read it in fifth grade.
I read it in class in 6th grade.
