Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I'm good, thanks - yesterday morning there were mutterings that maybe we'd all go home because of the violence, but we stayed all day, and I've been here all day today too. Really, for the most part I'm only walking from my apartment to school and staying at school, and we're a long way from all the protests, so (touch wood) so far, so good.

Honestly, though, I don't see how this can have a happy resolution. The protestors' demands just aren't viable, as far as I can see - I mean, they're probably right that the new guy is a Thaksin stooge, but what they're suggesting still isn't actually democratic either.

Ah, fun fun fun.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

he replied, "Equal rights rock, Jack White rocks. I'm just a dude."

Heh. I like your roomie, Laga.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

So, this is fun, in the NOT AT ALL way.

Vertigo is a lot better (not gone, though), but I woke up today and CANNOT HEAR out of what was my "good" ear. At all. It feels like it's crammed full of kleenex or something.

I'm moderately freaking out. I didn't expect to trade vertigo for a non-functional ear, GOD DAMN IT.

(Obviously, calling doctor as soon as they open.)

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Glad to hear you're okay, Fay.

Laga's roommate is one of the good guys. Yay!

Steph, ick. I hope they come up with a solution pronto.

Timelies. I am sleepy and Greg is home sick.

hola, bitches! been a while since i stuck my head in. when i get way behind i feel guilty and then stop looking at the thread until it gets so deep there's no possible way to catch up and i skip.

sorry to hear about the ear woes, Steph.

me? i'm about to hunker down beneath this WWII era desk and wait out the potential shitstorm that's about to occur between my co-worker, who i share job duties with and the warehouse guys. it ain't gonna be pretty!

Getting better quickly ~ma for both Teppy and Deena (and Greg, and anyone else in the household that gets that ick).

Yay, Fay being safe.

tiggy, anytime there are more than 150 new posts since I last caught up, there is at least a 30% chance that I will end up skipping. So I for one cannot condemn you. It's good to see you, even if all you've got is to pop in and say hi.

Also, tiggy, should we pop popcorn for you while you are hunkered down under that desk, or just send booze and chocolate?

And Laga's roommie does, indeed, rock.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Factoid I learned today:

The scientific name for ice cream headache, aka "Brain Freeze" is sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia.

this time i think i let it get to about 1800 or so. there was just no way.

how about popcorn and chocolate? actually, it didn't turn out as bad as i thought. warehouse guys are still pissy, but there's really nothing that can be done when head honcho has established two opposing things for us to do and then tells us we're not to stop doing one of those things NO MATTER WHAT! they can just take it up with him when he comes in.
