Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I just had to have one of those apple-cheddar bagels

You know that after you posted that, every NYC-ista simultaneously thought, "That's NOT a bagel!"

ION, back from doctor. My ears don't have impacted wax, so that wasn't the problem. He says there's some fluid built up where it shouldn't be, probably triggered by my allergies (we have a LOT of ragweed right now, and because it hasn't rained for weeks, there's no humidity/dampness to kind of weigh the pollen down and keep it from roaming free).

He also said my eardrum in the "full" ear is appears to be concave towards the inner ear, and that's probably indicative of the fluid build-up causing the pressure to be whacked out.

Finally, he said it looks like I've got a medium-level ear infection.

So I'm to keep taking claritin and sudafed for the allergy end of it, and he prescribed clarithromycin for the ear infection (big fuck-off horse pills, man!), and meclizine for the vertigo. I'm hoping the meclizine gets the vertigo well enough under control that I can go to work tomorrow. I took it about 10 minutes ago, so I'm assuming that I should be able to notice its effects within an hour or two.

So now I'm eating PB&J and reading DC comics' message boards to try to figure out WTF is up with the current Batman storyline. Big day.

Or, as when Nora first posted about them, "Eat a frelling muffin, whitey!"

That said, Au Bon Pain's more extreme "bagels" may not be real bagels, but they are gooooooood!

Teppy, I'm glad you got in to the doctor, and I hope the meds help quickly.

Deena, I hope your presentation went ok.

Mr. Joe, you sure are a good daddy.

Dear Daniel, please don't be surprised if there is no pie left when you get home. I accidentally ate it all left it where Harvey could get to it, and he ate it all. Yeah, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I just had to have one of those apple-cheddar bagels after this conversation. Not too bad.

EAMW

I purchased 7 year old cheddar in Wisconsin at the F2F. I'm looking forward to making a pie.

P.S. Nevermind, but I did swipe some 85% dark chocolate out of your stash.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

P.S. Nevermind, but I did swipe some 85% dark chocolate out of your stash.

And, really, who could blame you?

brillig

85% is too dark for me. Once you pass 70%, my bitter-receptors start objecting.

Meclizine: possibly helping, definitely sedating. Nap now.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

You guys know you're totally responsible for the fact I picked up a hunk of 3 year aged cheddar and some apples when I went grocery shopping today. Those and a half a french baguette made a tasty lunch.
