Question: Will hiding in a cavern with stockpiled chocolate goods be any part of this plan?

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I'm still up because I have to present a new website content management system with a billion users having different permissions to a client at 10A this morning. It's not finished. I've had months, but it's still not done. I can't make the code do what I want and it's making me crazy.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Also people from the North of England.

I'm guessing we have our origin - Canada, New England, parts of the South? That fits.

Kristin, I wish I could change places with you. Some insomnia would serve me well over the next t checks watch 14 hours until my killer project is due.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My grandpa used to insist on sharp cheddar for his apple pie. He was from Saginaw, Michigan.

lisah & sarameg, I'm waving at you from the JFX. Quick, busy trip this time but maybe next time I'm down for more days we can get together?

Mostly lurking...

Oh, Steph! I hope you're feeling better this morning.

{{{Deena}}} I SO want to strangle your insurance. Really. I'm just sick of them already. You better not tell me what company it is because I just might take action. Also, good luck with the presentation! I hope you've got it ready and a little bit of sleep. MWAH!

Cheddar cheese on apple pie is ick.

Um...let's see...what else...I guess nothing. Timelies!

Sister! Been there, done that, have the straight jacket. I hope it came together for you.

I would like to add this to the discussion of insomnia: gronk. Apparently the insomnia fairy was busy flitting across the country last night.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Gronk. I have to be showered, dressed, done feeding the animals, and on the road in 15 minutes. Damn.

“Not dead yet!”

Apparently the insomnia fairy was busy flitting across the country last night.

Indeed. ::yawns::

And it's official. I live in the stupidest city in the world. I know I shouldn't be, but I'm utterly staggered by how many McCain/Palin signs are sprouting up. I can't drive through my neighborhood without my blood pressure rising to dangerous levels and my hands twitching on the steering wheel, wanting to suddenly "accidentally" swerve in order to take the signs out.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

There was a story, somewhere, about a family that had an Obama sign out front and one day found it in the street, obviously run over. They put it back and it happened again. Finally, they either watched or put up a camera ... to find out that one family member had a tendency to take the corner out of the drive just a little too closely. Yup - they were running down their own sign.

In other news, I also am having ear problems - a feeling of pressure and, when I move, dizziness. Right now I'm debating as to whether to call the ENT or give it another day or so to see if it clears up on its own.

Steph, I had vertigo - determined to be from an inner ear infection - several years ago. It was so bad I was getting motion sick sitting at my desk. There is something to alleviate the symptoms - I forget what - but it does help.

And, in absolutely no news but worth confirming again, Emeline is adorable.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Steph, I had vertigo - determined to be from an inner ear infection - several years ago. It was so bad I was getting motion sick sitting at my desk. There is something to alleviate the symptoms - I forget what - but it does help.

There's a few different drugs; dramamine is one, and meclizine (marketed as "Non-Drowsy Dramamine") is another.

I'm going to see the doctor (not my regular one, who I love, but one of the other doctors in the practice) at 11:45. I *think* the vertigo is less bad today, but not even CLOSE to gone, and there's no way I can drive yet. I'm hoping it's something as simple as me having a big ball of wax in my ear that they can flush out.

The Boy is going to drive me to the doctor's -- his work is okay with him doing that. He's taking good care of me. I'm so lucky.

Once I know what the doctor's diagnosis/recommendations are, I can call work and figure out if I can work at home for a while (obviously I'm fine being on the computer -- as long as I don't whip my head around, the vertigo is under control, so I could easily edit articles at home and e-mail them back).

Mostly, I hope that it's something that's easily treated, so that I can get back to the normal swing of things ASAP. Obviously.
