Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Okay, you've known me nearly twenty years. You know that I have an overdeveloped sense of responsibility. You know I have a hard time getting back to sleep if I've been up and moving around. Add to that, if you know that I'm already achy and cranky what on earth makes you think it would be okay for you to shrug and say, "You could've gotten back in bed."
::snarls and mutters "orange jumpsuits, not a good look"::
vw, you may be a nicer sister than he deserves.
I'm perched in the nerd hole watching Matilda play with one of the My Little Pony knockoffs her daycare provider gave her for her birthday. She's been very busily wrapping the pony up in a paper towel, announcing, "Horsie go sleep," and making little contented whinnying sounds. It's the first morning in many many days that we haven't had "Yo Gabba Gabba" blaring from the moment she mmmmmmm woke up (mmmms courtesy of Matilda, who is very fond of the m key).
I'm drooling over Hec's links and wish I was in San Francisco right now.
I'm going to post this in Press, but here first:

They even have an animation feature.
Gotta plan a year ahead, no? Keller is Anthony Bourdain's personal hero of chefery.
well, according to Chowhounders, you can only get reservations 2 months in advance. I wouldn't be sure if I should make that reservation or plan reservations first! Would probably go for lunch reservations. Allegedly, they are slightly easier to get, serve the same menu, and since it's during the day, you have a better view of the gardens and have more time to digest the enormous meal.
I am less and less optimistic about this being a possibility, though... it's fun to think about however.
Nora, did Hec already pimp Eos? It's right in our neighborhood, spectacularly good (we've been there, I think, three times in four years, and our meals have been consistently amazing), and much easier to get into; on Tuesday and Wednesday nights you can usually walk in without a reservation at all. And so good. Oh, so good. Really, just...mmmmph.

Talking about SF burritos always reminds me of this lovely piece of alternate-reality food lore: The Alameda-Weehawken Burrito Tunnel.
Great reading for the science-geek foodie.
I have a couch and a chair-and-ahalf!! Whoo!
They aren't in my house yet, but I went to a furniture store outlet and got both for what I was looking to spend on a couch. They are comfortable and neutral colored.I'm not in love with the color but it's a neutral and had all the things I was looking for.
I'm waiting for the moving company to call me about getting it delievered although it may be tomorrow.
Don't think I'll get to curl up on it and watch the game this week but that will be in my future.

Oooh. My new state is "Barely" red! There might be hope yet!
In the news of sleeping in, I'm afraid I stole everyone else's sleep. I passed out in evil chair around 1ish, woke up around 5ish, stumbled to bed, and woke up around 1ish. Ya, I wish I could do that again. Alas, work won't let me.
