Oh, I don't require, ask, or even expect my students to call me "ma'am." I just give them the courtesy.
'Him'
Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I think as a teacher, particularly of teenagers, I'd want a certain formality as the default. Then when you drop it that actually means something.
OMG, some general in Miami is "extremely interested" in having Joe come work for him. I can not take three more years of year round hot!! But I feel like a shitty wife for putting my weather concerns over more substantive career stuff. Still, Florida is full of hurricanes and my in-laws! And there is no fall or winter to make up for it.
McCain campaign did claim his war wound prevents him using computers.
I think I just heard erika's head explode.

You'd be near Laura, at least.
I think I just heard erika's head explode.
Yeah, me too.
Yes, that was on my mind ... as I sat there boggling at the thought.
McCain campaign did claim his war wound prevents him using computers. So much for the phrase "Adapt & Improvise". I guess that's a USMC thing, not a Navy thing. Hell, I've adopted the phrase. You can't survive in the world saying "I can't do...". Find a way that you can. If it involves someone helping you, so be it.
Still, Florida is full of hurricanes and my in-laws!I just visited the NOAA Hurricane Center. To my astonishment, they have a big map of the Atlantic with "No Tropical Cyclones at this time". First time ever for me. Granted, I usually only look when I suspect one is bearing down on me or loved ones. Guess it's not like earthquakes in CA.
Come to Florida! We haven't had a hurricane in 3 years. It is N Carolina, Texas, and Louisiana you have to avoid! (shameless attempt to lure shiny Buffista to my world)
We had nuns so we all stood up and said 'Good Morning Sister Mary Whatever' every time one of them entered the room, or Father Whatever if it was one of the priests. I use Sir and M'am frequently.
I spent 4 hours today with a six week old baby and his mother. He was a real cutie and so snuggly. Baby toes!
