I know this whole theory about vending machines, and how they're exist only so you'll be able to kick them from time to time, earn your snack and feel like you beat the system. That's also why you mostly find them in places with enough machinery to make you feel small and insignificant.

What is wrong with students. They send me an email and say "please send me the special application", yet a depressingly large number of them don't provide their address!!!!
Maybe they think it's a .pdf or some sort of file that can be e-mailed?

I work at a university, and I concur.
Also, I have to explain why I can't scan an entire book and put it up on Blackboard to professors. Do I get some sort of combo prize?
Also, since I am an "assistant" and they are faculty, and therefore my bosses, why do I get the job of gatekeeping copyright. It gets reflected sometimes as a negative attitude on my evaluations!
