[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am clearly a freak on the sweets scale. I find Peeps too sweet to eat but far too amusing to hate, whereas Cadbury eggs are just vile. I've never heard of circus peanuts before.

Dude, give me some dark chocolate. I'll be happy.

Speaking of chocolate, my son doesn' like it. I find that... odd. I've never before met a kid who didn't like chocolate.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I didn't like chocolate when I was a kid. Well, some chocolate things were OK -- M&Ms and Hershey's Kisses, pretty much -- but I didn't like most other chocolate, and I hated chocolate ice cream.

So you're saying he'll probably grow out of it?

Eh. I still don't really like most chocolate. I mean, it's OK, but I like a lot of other things much better. Given a dessert menu, I'm far more likely to pick something fruit-based than chocolate-based.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Matilda definitely likes chocolate. Emmett fed her some tonight and she was stuffing that into her cheeks like a squirrel.

The status is NOT quo.

For humor: Some pictures of the day my Shepherd Zoe arrived and Seamus met his very first dog...

“Not dead yet!”

Can't see the pics. Bummer.

erika, your boyfriend went to town on McCain last night during Letterman. And I think the last time I found Letterman that genuinely funny was about 1995. Keep going, McCain, you're giving people tons of material at the very least.

Dude, give me some dark chocolate. I'll be happy.

Chocolate is an essential food group. And dark chocolate? Food of the gods.

I told my kindergarten class that ice cream & chocolate was a food group, because that was what my mother always said. (Still says.) I am in the-darker-the-better chocolate camp and won't usually bother myself with milk chocolate.

Last night I told the part-time people that we're going to hire a full-time person to work the evenings (that they currently cover). One of them got into a huff and has, I think, resigned. Not much of a loss, since I was sick of dinging her for being late (and lying about it), but the Big Boss may be upset by this turn of events.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I like both dark and milk chocolate; they appeal to different cravings. Dark chocolate with bits of crystallized ginger is my current favorite.

Our wings are not tired.

Mmmmm. Dark chocolate. This sounds good for breakfast, and yet I have none.
