Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

"Mixologist" sounds like the kind of thing that started tongue-in-cheek, and then it became taken over by the pompous and self-important.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

The status is NOT quo.

One of the things about grief that rarely gets discussed is how we don't lose our senses of humor, or ability to see the ridiculous in the world around us, even when we are in the middle of a crying jag. It is not only ok, it is good, and more common than the non-grieving public realize, to laugh even as one is smearing eye makeup all over someone else's shirt.

WindSparrow is wise. I know that laughter has helped ease some of the pain for ND this summer, too. Many hugs to Vortex and to Daisy.

Job~ma to Juliana and Tom and Erin!

Hugs to poor, sick Bitches.

So I had a good day. And the best part of my day is that I get to SLEEP IN tomorrow morning. Our 9th grade overnight trip is in Ojai tomorrow night, and they're letting me meet them there rather than meet at school and take the bus up! I am so relieved that I don't have to drive from Pasadena to Brentwood to Ojai to Brentwood and back to Pasadena. It shaves 60 miles off of the round trip. I'm meeting them up there at 10:30, which also rocks. That means I don't have to leave my house until 8:30 or 9. Woot!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Circus Peanuts, yay or nay?

My older sister loves 'em.

Yay for good days, Kristin!! Have a great trip tomorrow.

Today is my last teaching day this week. Tomorrow we have an inservice day and I'm taking Friday off for a conference.

Circus Peanuts

Ick!

Ojai is so pretty.

bleah Then again, I don't have much room to talk-- I love those super-sugary fake citrus candy slices. Too many stops at I-95 rest stops as a kid, I suppose.

I also dislike Peeps (ick!), though I find them and all their other holiday permutations adorable as all hell.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I once saw those fake citrus slices being sold as a Chanukah treat. They were dyed a deep royal blue. So disturbing.

I don't think I've ever tried Circus Peanuts, but they look weird.

Cashmere, I have your copy of Bust. Can you send your address to my profile address?

Jili, are the granny boots you're wearing in the Bust picture flats, and, if so, where did you get them?

Oh, that's so very wrong.

I don't think I've ever tried Circus Peanuts, but they look weird.

They're sort of like a stiff marshmallow-- not as stiff as the petrified Lucky Charms marshmallows, but more so than your average marshmallow. And with some sort of mystery flavor to them, if (very long ago) memory serves.
