x-posted with Gaming in the hopes of catching
Fay's
attention...
One of the video games I'm looking forward to is Little Big Planet. It's a very very cute family-friendly game that is pretty much the antithesis of what I usually like to play but i fin myself utterly charmed by it.
Anyway, here's a video which shows the introduction to the game. Image quality is so-so but I'm posting it because the narrator is Stephen Fry and there's a distinctly Fay-like comment of "Oh, Bless." a few minutes in.

This video is very happy-inducing. How odd.
Ugh. I just called a family acquaintance to let him know about my dad. He kept me on the phone for half an hour. Then he wanted me to read this book, and then call him back and tell him what I thought about it. He went on about how it was so great that he bought a hundred copies to give away. I looked on Amazon, and I'm pretty sure I'll hate it.
Health~ma for J, job~ma for Tom, yays for Tep's hours, cluesticking for Vortex's acquaintance.
Timelies.

Because if there's anything a call like that should be, it's all about him. Feh.
oh, he was appropriately sympathetic (that was the half hour), about how great my dad was, and how sorry he is for our loss, and he felt bad that he'd left a message for my dad and hoped that my mom didn't get it, etc. But, then the book.
Okay, that's better then. Can you read enough of the book on Amazon (first chap, reviews) to fake having read it if it ever comes up again?
How are you holding up, by the way? And your mom?
I cringe when I hear people telling kids, "Do what you love!" as job advice. I mean, how many of us can actually do that?
No kidding! I mean, I don't want to tell them, "You'll be miserable, learn to deal," but going to work is rarely a new box of joy and toys every day.
Also, I'm giving tests today. I love giving tests, because it makes them all be quiet for a little while, but I hate it because I keep wanting to help!
You people need to post more! I've reached the end of the Internets!
