[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

Back from the game.

The Marching Chiefs looked really good and they changed the opening so that the Chiefs stand on either side of where the team comes out to make their entrance.

And they played an 80s selection at half time of Pat Benatar, Madness, Kenny Loggins, and the song Boys of Summer.

There was an annoying chick and the chick behind her who were at the game with a group and WOULD NOT sit down for anything, causing the season ticket holding couple behind them to leave at half time.

Which wasn't so much of a loss for them really.

Seriously it was bad. Fumbles, interceptions, Dad even joked at the end "I'm only staying for one more interecption" a few plays later there was so we left with about 2 minutes left on the clock.

We didn't even listen to the post game show. Coach Bowden has been amazing, he's done a lot in 33 years as head coach but...FSU can't win against a division opponent. The first two wins were against soft teams that had no hope against us.

And it was the same freaking thing-- run a play, it doesn't work, run it again, it doesn't work, run it again. Last season FSU would at least end up punting. This time the pattern of running the same play was broken by fumbles or interceptions. And then on the next posssesion the same thing.

There needs to be a big shake up.

I can't even BELIEVE I'm saying this but maybe the best thing (in the long run) for FSU is to have a losing season. A bad losing season.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My sister had a sleepover party for her tenth birthday. One of her friends got up in the middle of the night and tripped and hit her head on this half-wall thing, and had to go to the hospital for stitches. Two years later, at her bat mitzvah, my sister accidentally hit this same friend on the head with a stick while trying to swing at the pinata, and the friend again had to go to the hospital for stitches.

Our wings are not tired.

Wow, Hil, that's quite an awful coincidence! Did they stay friends...?

Paging Sox! I saw this blog entry on sfgate.com and thought of you!

Heh. They stayed friends for a few years after that, I think.

Just watched an old House episode where a gay kid was kicked out of his home in Montana, and ended up in New Jersey. Who runs to New Jersey?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Shir, can you switch to softer food for a while?

Well, I'm eating more soft food - I couldn't chew for about a week, and then I got used to some of the softer food. Again, I'm a porridge and soups fan. It doesn't seems to help, no matter how much butter I put into the porridge.

And alas, I'm not a huge peanut butter fan.

Thanks for making me calmer about this, guys.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm half-heartedly working as NoiseDesign, Sean, MiracleMan, and our friend Eric game a few feet away.

What were they playing?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Cheesecake, Shir? Or at least - warm up some full fat Philadelphia and mix in some full fat cream and some sugar and some vanilla/flavour of your choice?

JZ - I'm gobsmacked at your dad's asshattishness. Good luck dealing with him, love.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh! I had plenty on cheesecake yesterday. Mom bakes them best. Even the pizza store down the street, that has Häagen-Dazs (which is the reason to 95% of my visits there), with the current uber-hellish-deadline from work doesn't do the trick. I'm eating full fat cheeses, always had, but I'll look for fatter cheeses now.

I want to gain weight (just stop losing weight will also be wonderful), yes, but I want to do it in a healthy way, guys. No point in starting eating like a maniac unhealthy things and damage my body.

JZ - I might be missing something, and I understand it's a real bitch with your dad, but if he can't make it/move his excuse for not being able to host the birthday, could you possibly still do it in his place, only without him being there?
