You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, I was shopping anyway - Dylan has no fall/winter shoes that fit AT ALL because it was still sandal weather up until about yesterday afternoon. But Zappos has better prices than Piperlime.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So far Em has a pair of black, clunky Mary Janes, black, canvas Keds, and pink and silver sneakers. I forsee her needing brown mary janes and possibly red mary janes in addition to her snow/winter boots. Those I'm getting from LL Bean. Or Land's End. One of those.

Fay - aren't they kick ass??? I love that they have abit of a heel, but still look Doc Marten-y.

I like the Lands End "Snow Flurry" boots for winter - waterproof, easy to get on/off, and under $30.

Now tagless for your comfort.

jessica, my kids have the Flurry boots. Of course they both need new ones before winter. I have some blue ones in size 10 toddler I can hold onto for you until D can wear them.

I, too, was tempted by the teeny, adorable Docs.

Aw, thanks so much! It'll be a few years, though - he's a size 6 now.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Speaking of spending money, I bought this yesterday: [link] in Olive. Verra expensive for a bag (at least considering what I usually spend), but the DH pointed out that I love my nylon one and it has lasted for years.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

They're awesome, but it seems like a lot of money to pay for something with such a short lifespan, Aims.

We could form a Buffista consortium and pass the shoes down from child to child. Docs last forever.

I mean, it's not unusual for Matilda to be wearing something that already went through Ellie and Casper.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

And I am laughing like a drain at the fact that Docs are now making HEELS!! Like, 3" heels!!

I waaaaaaaant these sooooo much. Love.
