Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

SJ, I forgot to say re: GPS. Becareful. As my friend said when her hubby first got one, "It will take you where you wanna go, just not the way you would have thought of". Also, be aware, that the GPS isn't always as up to date as one would like. And has been known to put you going down the wrong way on a street recently converted to One Way. Or think a right turn is a merge and not list it, or think a merge is a turn and list it, both of which give frustrating reactions of "I'm not wanting to be here" and "what turn? Where?". So think of them as really interesting ole New Englander directions. That said, very helpful for me in new city. OMG love it! Oh ya, and the model I have, a Magellan, seems to prefer to take me around the block to make a right turn, rather than making a left turn. Makes me wonder if it's AI was commissioned by FedEx.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

It's been a very busy couple of days for me.

Geez, I'd say so. Glad to hear things seem to be looking up.

Continued, heaping piles of ~ma, Seany.

The status is NOT quo.

Sean, it's good to here that there's at least a little good news, even if it's not (by a long stretch) all better. Did you ever have the conversation with S's mom about how this is going to go forward? I know it's difficult to shift this burden of responsibility, but I also know how much you need a break from this and how much you need to start moving forward.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

What the Pixie said. I know it's not going to be easy, but you HAVE to get S's mom to take the reins here before you burn out completely.

We broached the topic, but didn't resolve much. It's something that we're going to keep revisiting over the next few days.

Good. Because I know that she knows that you are too good a person to abandon S if she doesn't have a support system, and I'm worried she's going to try to use that against you.

Yeah, me too a little bit, but we'll see how it goes. It would be easier If S were able to talk and tell her she needs to take over.

Good thing: Hospital offers free wifi.

Annoying thing: wifi refuses to display Facebook for some reason.

Other annoying thing: Gmail being craptastical today.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Would the Gas-X hit the lower GI and break up the gas in a timely manner? I'd love to not get to that 3rd phase, as I am not much of a runner. But it hits fast when it hits.

Well, Gas-X is pretty innocuous, in the sense of not interacting with other drugs, and not causing side effects, so it couldn't hurt to try.

Sean, that's good news about S.! I'm hoping her mom accepts the situation for what it is.
