In weather news, Mother Nature is being a tease - it's starting to get a little sunny out. No fair!

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
It's beautiful here, if a little on the chilly side.
Happy birthday and much job ~ma to Tom. May the coming year bring amazing, wonderful things.
Happy Birthday Tom! May you become en-jobified soon, and have an excellent rest of the year.
Make the next four days count. They turn on the Large Hadron Collider on September 10th.
Why should we make the next 4 days count? Is the collider supposed to do something bad? t edit I *did* read the article linked, and I guess I don't know enough about physics to understand it all, but the collider sounded like a *good* thing, not a doom thing.
I think it's supposed to make tiny black holes that will EXPAND AND EAT OUR PLANET, SOLAR SYSTEM, ENTIRE UNIVERSE.
Except not.
Oh, Tom. That's so sucky. I hope you have a happy day, despite the biblical weather.
So, we have people on the board who take Xanax, right? How quickly does it kick in? I need to figure out when to start drugging poor Toto for the biblical weather. Poor guy is gonna be SO freaked out.

It's mostly a joke. I expect that, much like the fears of the first atomic bomb test setting the atmosphere on fire, the fears about the LHC are utterly unfounded.
However, they are trying to recreate the Big Bang (in a way...). There's no potential for anything there to go horribly, horribly wrong. Nope. No chance at all.

I totally didn't comprehend that from the article. I am a total physics moron.
So thank you for translating from physics-ese into Teppy-moron.

Oh, THAT'S a comfort. Now I'm thinking "what are the unexpected 'poison the earth and give a bunch of army brats cancer thirty years later' effects of a super colider?"
I didn't read that specific article, but I've picked up random bits here and there. Physicists are not worried that my ASSCAP story will happen. Well, there's probably at least one out there who does, but he or she probably has other issues.
It's kind of a running joke, I believe.
