You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Damn. I just got a call for TCG saying they would not be calling him back for a second interview on the job he applied for. He would be perfect for the job. I really really don't want to call him and give him this message.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Why would they give you that message? That's so unprofessional. And puts you in a not-fun position.

Brenda, they didn't. They left it on our voicemail. I didn't answer the phone.

Ah, that's a little better then. Sorry he didn't get it, that's always so hard.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I'm wondering if I'm being spied on. After complaining last night about just wanting a whiteboard, a maintenance man and my VP just left my room after measuring for a new whiteboard.

Ummm.... man, I really wish they'd build an actual auditorium so we don't have to perform in a gym with no stage or backstage. Boy, an auditorium would be so helpful.

(think that'll work?)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

She's still not ready to tell her family; however, my love andacceptance of her has gone a long way in helping her love and accept herself. Oh! and she adores the nickname "baby dyke diver".

Good for her!

Dan Savage had a column not long ago where he advocated not telling hostile parents until you were out from under their roof. It made a lot of sense. Basically, "Its good to live an honest life. You can do that in two years when the result won't be daily torment. Then you can let your parents come to their acceptance on their own time." I think its worth considering.

So, the prognosis is not good. She made some minor improvements in the night - her fever went down slightly, as did her heart rate. Both are still high. They still think she may have had a stroke. Right now, her kidneys are the only thing working right. As long as they hold up, they have hope that she'll pull through, though what state her liver is in now is questionable.

But if one more organ fails, the outlook is pretty bleak. Her mother is flying in tomorrow. I told her mother that anybody and everybody in her family that can come out, should.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh honey. I am so sorry. You are in my every thought today.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Holding you both very close in my thoughts. I can't imagine how hard this is for you--or, I can, just barely, and it's breaking my heart for you.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Oh, Sean, how difficult for you. Having been through this with my dad, all I can do is urge you to make sure you take care of yourself during this. Simple things like eating healthy food and going for walks and watching DVDs of a favorite show or two. Let friends take care of you. I wish you and S strength.
