Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh no! Sean!!! {{{{ }}}}} All the ~ma and then some for S and you. Please, if you need someone to talk with, even for distraction purposes, you got my number!

That digital board thingie looks HOT! Dude! I wanna be a teacher just to use that!

I actually watched the RNC thingie on the tele a bit. Just her speech at the end there, I caught it just after her "intro" stuff. She had a couple good zingers, so I could see her playing that "VP attack dog" position well. But I was screaming at the tele a few times with her references to Obama.

I have to say, it has been my position that I think a Governor would be a better President than a Senator, as they do have the Executive experience. However, the Shrub has TOTALLY ruined that theory. I think Palin will be a force to keep an eye on over the next few weeks. Do not underestimate her people.

And a small side rant. Why. WHY! WHY?!? Why do they have to add 'gate' to the end of every scandal??? Watergate was the name of the hotel. Trooper-gate??? Sounds stupid. I wonder if the QED has added gate as a suffix defined as political scandal or something. Uggg.

ND, I forgot to pdf print and e-mail for you earlier. Sorry about that. Had to get to the DMV for my drivers license. But they are insent to you now. But, I am now officially a Texan! Both car and Drivers License. In 2-4 weeks, we shall see just how bad my picture is.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Okay, Sean -- there are *really good* drugs for sepsis. The cardiologist is right in that it's a fucking serious situation, but there are "big-gun" antibiotics that are used in sepsis, and they're good at getting it under control.

I know that knowledge is not much (or any) comfort right now, but, while it IS as serious as it gets, there's some powerful shit available to fight it, and that's going to help her very, VERY much.

If my thoughts and prayers have any power, she has those, too. As do you.

Insomnia? Or is it my sleep patterns just totally out of whack. Either way. It's 3am and I'm not tired. I need to get a reading light for my bed. Reading might be better than computer stuff.

Also, facebook is annoying me right now. Trying to catch up on 2 weeks of "requests" and the thing keeps reloading the home page. Ugg. I think I'll try to sleep again.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

(((Sean and S)))

I read the news just before I had to get Matilda into her bedtime routine so I haven't said anything, but you have both been in my thoughts and I've been vibing hard (and, when Matilda woke me up a little while ago, I went straight into vibing and worrying mode the second my eyes opened). All my ~ma is yours, for any possible comfort and healing and for a wise and caring medical team tending to her.

I'm sorry, Sean. Now that they have a diagnosis for S, I hope that they'll be able to focus some effective treatments on the problem.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I do not love you, 4 a.m.
You are not cool, you are not zen
I do not want you as a friend
I do not want to see you again.

not your mom's socks.

Sean & S - so much pull-through and recovery~ma.

Smart boards - Ooooh.

Soapbox alert: I looked at the news this morning and saw words like 'historic' and 'electrifying' from even the liberal papers. Historic only in the party sense, right? Or that Palin is the first book-banning, no-you-can't, obfuscating candidate to prey on voters because her own party preaches to the folksy people at the same time they feel those people are too stupid to think for themselves?

Our wings are not tired.

Much ~ma continuing for Sean & S. I know it is very scary and serious. Also, the agitation that you described is not unusual in someone so ill. With both my father and late DH there were times when they were so horribly agitated that loved ones couldn't be in the room with them for more than brief moments. It is unbelievably tough.

Public alert: Just don't listen to NPR this morning. You don't need to hear how awesome and inspiring Palin is. Trust me on this.

We have a couple of smart boards at work. They're great, but they require smart employees to run them. I'm sure teachers would have no problem getting the bells and whistles to work. Sadly, I can't say the same about many of my coworkers. However, they also function effectively as really, really expensive whiteboards. At which point you can hear one of the IT staff sobbing quietly in a corner.
