FIVE TEACHERS!!!??
That should cluestick the Admin, shouldn't it?
ION, not at all related:
Daniel Radcliffe not wizard at flirting
Daniel Radcliffe admits he still has a lot to learn when it comes to attracting members of the opposite sex. The Harry Potter star says he tries to get to women to notice him by staring at them. "My school of flirting rule is to look at them until they notice me and then hope for the best," he says.
Way-better-job~ma to you, Erin. No job is worth that God-awful feeling.
I don't start school until the week of 9/22. And it will be my LAST QUARTER EVAH! In the meantime, though, I have to finish my portfolio paper (10 pager), which is due on 9/12. Then I leave for a week in the Keys on 9/13! WEEEEE!
Erin, you are wise and courageous. I'm sorry this job was so toxic. Best of job~ma to you.
I wish I had the guts to try to go back to school. It burns and eats away at me that I didn't finish my degree. But I don't have the nerve to work and go to school, any more.
Erin, that sounds mad scary. Glad you're out.
Oops. five teachers didn't show up today! I have no idea if they quit. But, still...
Erin, for your sake I'm glad you're out (and that the nightmares are stopping). May you find something much better - it'd have to be saner, right? - in the near future.
Good luck, Erin. That last job sounds like it was completely soul sucking, ugh. Job~ma!
ION, I have done my share for the week. Unemployment says I have to apply for at least two jobs a week. I have done that already, today. (I'll do more, but I feel all virtuous for meeting their requirements.) Plus, I have a phone interview in 45 minutes, so the job search is moving apace.
I'm sitting here trying to feel virtuous over my lunch, since I've started trying to work my way back to eating healthy after a summer of travel/conference eating. Thin slices of hard salami, a couple of pieces of good cheddar, raw sugar snap peas, carrots, and broccoli with a little bleu cheese dip, and a crisp, ice cold Red Delicious apple.
I'm full now, but I hope I'm not starving in two hours.
Wow, Erin. That's a huge step. Good on you for figuring out it was necessary.
ION, two classes down, two to go. Going okay so far, but I think I'm going to have my hands full with a few of the girls in my 12th class. One of them admitted without the least bit of concern or remorse that she "couldn't get through" the first summer reading book and didn't bother to read the second. Oh dear. Go Team Apathy! Another student rather snottily commented that "in my AP class last year" she did a lot of this already. What. Ev. Sunshine.
