Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Stay safe, Fay.

All good thoughts to you and your family, Vortex.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In lighter news ...

It was the Labor Day weekend in the nation's capital, which meant wall-to-wall tourists. Most are nice people ... some of them ... sigh ....

Sunday afternoon I was in Georgetown - not only a hot spot for tourists, but there are three universities nearby - so the place was mobbed. Right near the center of all attractions I was waiting at the bus stop - a stop for the public transit buses, the Circulator buses, and one of the tour bus lines. It's an old section of town, so the sidewalks are narrow brick. A family of tourists - mom, dad, grandmother in a wheelchair, and two preteens - comes up and, rather than lining up against the buildings, stands in front of me. Mom positions herself in the middle of the sidewalk. Guy with a bike pushes past and dings mom, who immediately begins a rant about rude people and how she hates big cities because the number of rude people per capita is so high. She announces she's going to look at a store a couple of doors down ... and is back in a few minutes ranting about how she hated the way the store smelled. A tobacco store, which smelled, surprise!, of tobacco. After listening to mom rant about rudeness, nasty smells, and how much she hates big cities, my bus came and I left her to hate the place some more. sigh.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I have reading that needed to be done for my first class tonight! (which I did over the weekend)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I already have homework!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Somewhere outside a child has been crying and shrieking, "it's not fair!" for the last five minutes.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

"it's not fair!"

The kid is right, if that's any consolation.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Vortex, I am so, so very sorry for your loss.

ION, I resigned yesterday from my new job. I felt like I was showering daily in meanness and apathy, and I was spiraling into a very bad mental place. So, I quit.

Guess what? No school-related nightmares for the first time in weeks last night. I am stressed, but I did right.

Anyone know of a job, teaching or otherwise? I'm REAL good at lots of things.
