Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you cut it and don't wash it, dangling threads shouldn't be too much of a problem, unless it's cloth that lives to unravel.

It's just that weird poly/nylon/manmade fabric that undergarments, particularly inexpensive slips, are made out of.

t edit Which is to say, I have no idea if it's an unravel-y prone material.

Fabric glue. Or any glue, really.

Edit: Or nailpolish, cheap stuff that you would use on stocking runs.

Surely The Boy has some :)

It just occurred to me that I'm playing the music in my headphones a little loud. Then I thought, "I'm 47 years old, and I'm generally careful about stuff like this. If I'm not old enough to risk a little hearing loss, then what's a middle age for?"

He's a hybrid cross-dresser; he dresses (and boy howdy, he's got the legs for teeny skirts and high heels), but he doesn't wear makeup or anything.

I once got him to let me paint his toenails black.

He just likes the clothes. (Well, there's more to it than that, but what I mean to say is, it's expressed via clothes, and their tactile difference from men's clothes, and not makeup.)

I own all the nail polish in the family.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

You should probably be able to cut that stuff all the hell up. It may even form its own spontaneous little roll-hem.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Steph, I have cut that material and it has lasted with little raveling for a couple of shows, at least, if that helps. Otherwise I would just buy another slip, because they are actually kind of a pain to hem nicely by hand, and I don't know if you have a machine. If you do, you could cut and zigzag lace over top of it.

Also, Happy Birthday Meara!

And ~ma to Sean, Kristin and other people who need it.

I figured he was prepared for all clothing related emergencies. I don't own any nail polish except for use on the occasional stocking.

JZ's right, that stuff will curl up like a pillworm.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

It may even form its own spontaneous little roll-hem.

Yep. At the very least, you can cut it and leave it for now with no worries. If you want to go back and add trim later, it can survive until then.
