Oh, ye gods, Kristin, what a miserable ordeal. I'm assuming (hoping like hell) that by now you are home and peacefully marinating in Vicodin in your own bed. All the rest and pain relief and, later, necessary classroom prep ~ma I've got in me is yours.
Also some serious second-wind/make-it-through-the-day~ma to Drew, since it sounds like it's going to be a grind for him after tending to you through the night.
And job~ma to Tom in about half an hour my time. He's so bright and so good at what he does; of all the people who totally don't deserve a drop in self-confidence, he's near the top of the list. Vibing hard for him to shake it off and once again quietly bask in the steady excellence of his own self.
Now, off in search of breakfast before it's time for lunch.
Damn. I'm trying to book flights for DW, MiL, and myself for Christmas and it's crazy money! Where do you guys go for deals on air travel?
Where do you guys go for deals on air travel?
I've always done best with Travelocity.
Hotels I always do Priceline, though. (Thanks to erinaceous for that tip.)
Depending on where you are going, Joe just got a non-stop, RT flight between Detroit and LAX for $183 on Spirit. Sometimes, you have to be a member of their $9 Fare Club - which is totally worth it - or sometimes they just have kickass deals.
Trouble is that we're flying into a tiny airport (Charleston, SC). At this point, I'm thinking flying into Atlanta and renting a car might be a better option. Tix are between $650-$800 to Charleston and more like high $300s for Atlanta!
What about flying into Charlotte? (Not sure how far that is from Charleston)
ETA: According to Google Maps, about an hour's less drive than from Atlanta. And I'll take the Charlotte airport any day over Atlanta.
Thank you, Sumi and Amych. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a proper cutting table complete with scissors groove at home?
Beth, how's the feline? Mine is sending his best purrs to yours right now.
Job~ma sent for Tom.
