Happy Birthday to your son, Laura!
Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Happy birthday to son o' Laura!
Morning, Bitches. Fay finally took out our power at about 2AM, so I'm currently using the laptop battery and dial-up. Obviously, won't be on much today until we get power back, but all things considered, everything's okay. House stayed relatively cool-- yay for tile floors.
Power-ma, Barb.
For the librarians among us - you can do more than say "ssshhhh".
Battery & power ~ma, Barb.
Todd, I heard that this morning on NPR - and I'll admit I laughed. That kind of thing falls in the category (for me) of, "if you make a threat, you have to follow through with it." She ignored the summons, and they followed through.
Perhaps make multiple copies and post around the library?
Happy Birthday to Laura's son and business!
Stay safe, Barb. My parents lived in Inverness for several years right after they retired (they then moved back to be closer to the grandkids).
I return stuff late about half the time. My late fees paid for the new library. They still love me and wouldn't arrest me.
Power ~ma, Barb.
I hope Fay picks up the pace at bit. The rain amounts reported in Melbourne - 20". That is a whole lotta rain. We'll get a little more from her today too. From the blurb I read on her this morning..
Rainfall should gradually diminish today as the storm moves inland and weakens, assuming this Joker will truly weaken once it gets over land. I expect that this time it will weaken, since the storm will not be traversing over Lake Okeechobee. The waters of Lake Okeechobee were a scalding 91.8°F when Fay crossed over it Tuesday, according to MODIS satellite estimates.
That's some warm surf.
I hope your drenching subsides, Laura. Happy Birthday to the boy and the business!
I'm less gronkified than I should be--I went to bed at 2 and Owen was up once at 4 and then up for good at 7. I napped from 5:30-8:30 last night, which seemed like a good idea at the time.
I don't mind waking up early except my kids seem to be yellers in the morning--they scream for everything they want, from juice to cereal to tv. I've tried to instill in them the fact that uncaffeinated momma is an incoherent momma and the yelling only makes it worse. It puts me on edge badly.
Did someone break into my house last night and dirty all my dishes? *sigh*
