Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Deena, my understanding of Diflucan is it's pretty benign with other meds. This is the list of interactions I've found:
Oral hypoglycemics
Coumarin-type anticoagulants
Phenytoin
Cyclosporine
Rifampin
Theophylline
Terfenadine
Cisapride
Astemizole
Rifabutin
Tacrolimus
Short-acting benzodiazepines
Oral hypoglycemics
You know what I'd do, though? Call and ask your pharmacist. They would know.
So, since Steph can't be around during the day... does anyone else know if it's a good or a bad idea to take Flagyl and Difuclan at the same time?
I keep sneaking and looking at the board during the day. Just not for very long.
You can take them together; in fact, some doctors will prescribe Diflucan right along with an antibiotic, because, in a lot of women, the antibiotic kills off necessary vaginal bacteria along with the bad bacteria, leading to a nasty yeast infection. But the Diflucan heads that off at the pass.
Totally unrelated to anything, anyone have experience with the Swiffer Vacuum Sweeper [link] ? I saw it at BJs yesterday and wondered if it would be a good purchase. I have all hard wood/tile floors, and my vacuum really doesn't work on it, and I kill my back sweeping. Would this be a good possibility, seeing as I can't afford a Roomba?
Including chemical cauterization to stop chronic nosebleeds
I've had that! I don't remember if it hurt because that whole bit is a blur, especially after I had to
have my right sinus cavity packed with gauze because an artery had burst
after exposure to toxic mold in the bedroom of our new apartment. Still, the next step was surgery, so it ended well.
Thanks, Steph!
Val, if Steph hadn't shown up, that would have been a good idea. Thank you for using your brain, since mine seems to be at the cleaners.
I think my mom uses and likes it that, Val, but she's not known for her eat-off-they're-so-clean floors, so...

I'm not either, but I'm trying to be better. With two dogs here, I was sweeping every day, and that combined with the hip injury almost did me in. I think if it were easier, I'd do it more often. And I need to be doing it more often thanks to the allergies.
Wow, don't know what happened...
KB did something funky. I think it had to do with ComicPress randomly renaming a future strip and then it...choked on it or something.
Anyway, it's fixed and KB seems to be back up and running. If you tried to look at it earlier and it timed out on you, try again. And sorry.
It isn't as painful as it sounds because anesthetic is applied first. But it's weird to walk around for several hours with a numb right nostril.
Hee. A friend of mine had her cervix numbed for a procedure. She said it was really peculiar walking around being able to tell where her cervix was -- it was like someone had stuck a walnut in her.
...and my doctor is out until Friday. The receptionist isn't willing to give the request to a different doctor in the practice. She's not willing to suggest any other route. She's happy for me to wait until Friday.
I need a nap.
She's happy for me to wait until Friday
I'm happy to be whapping her upside the head every half hour between now and Friday.
Find a new doctor, Deena. One with a staff who give's a rat's ass for his patients.
