Oh man, one of my sweetest memories ever...

When I was ten? eleven? I gave up chocolate for Lent. At some point during Lent there was a big family dinner at my Grandparents. It wasn't a birthday or anything, they just had the whole gang for dinner every month or so. Dessert was fudge ripple ice cream. I was bummed, but I wasn't going to make a fuss.

When dessert came my Grandmother handed me a bowl -- she had taken a spoon and scooped each and every fudge ripple out of my ice cream.

I have since tried to do that, it is no simple task. And I wasn't doing it at the tail end of having twenty people over for dinner.

am home after a long day. It started off with me punching the wall out of frustration. Mid shift we had a shortened dinner break. I was asking myself "why did I leave crappy old job with good equipment/infrastructure"?!?! Then, after dinner, we caught another run thru, and my battery was recharged, faith restored, and I remembered why I came here. The show rocks. The Artistic Director rocks. Art worth seeing. Does the equipment and infrastrutcture suck? You bet. But, we can work on that! The next 10 days or so will be low on sleep, but it looks to me worth it for this production.

DJ, we open Tuesday September 2nd. Not sure what the ticket situation is.

I'm up. Teachers have to be at school by 7. Kids will be in my room in 3 hours. This is going to be a long day.

Sorry we didn't connect while you were in Miami. I lost track of time doing the last moment Target back to school purchases. Smooth travel ~ma and loads of recovery ~ma for the ma.

Took Brendon at 7 this morning. New plan this year because I am refusing to do the long drop off line unless it is a tropical storm. Well, we do have one of those, but it isn't going to start raining for a couple hours. I dropped him off across the street at a strip center and let him walk in. This was so much for the best since the line was literally several miles long. I don't need this with my standard transmission. I did give him a choice of riding the bus or walking from across the street. Considering that the center has a Dunkin Donuts the choice was simple.

Next up, dropping Bobby at his bus stop. I still don't get out of driving completely, but as long as I don't have to do the drop off line crawl it's all good.

We find out at noon if school will be canceled tomorrow due to Fay. (I hope so because school during wet storms is awful since they have to change classes outside in the weather)
