I was also reminded of the incident that resulted in our no longer being allowed to bring in our own CDs to play when we were setting up for business at the restaurant where I used to work.

In the middle of a busy Saturday shift a traditional Spanish song ended and after a brief moment of silence, see me, feel meee, touch me... drifted out into the dining rooms. Three managers collided trying to reach the CD player.

Ya, remember, the movie was made at a time when perception altering drugs were a lot more common, by a director known for out there concepts. A lovely combination that, as you say, does not really stand up to the test of time. Although, I *personally* feel the story line of the lover killing Captain Walker makes more sense with the wacky family baby sitting incidents. That those family members aren't really *his* family . But that's just me. Others have different opinions.

Oh, goodness. This is terrible, but I am in SO MUCH better of a mood today. I really think having a puppy here stressed me out. So, lesson learned? No puppy while still in school. Which I wasn't planning on anyways, but...

Hi everyone. I'm basking in free Internet. Yay free Internet! Alas, that's about the only good news I have. Things aren't good with Drew's mom (I'll let him talk details if he feels like it), and my attempt to fly standby on any flight to the LA area today has met with dismal failure. So we got up really early for nothing, I'm afraid. His flight isn't until 3 today, and I will have to get a room around here for tonight. Blah. Also, my flight tomorrow goes into Burbank. My car is in LAX. Drew will be headed straight down to San Diego to be with his mom tonight, so I'm not quite sure how I'm going to get from the Burbank airport to LAX tomorrow. I'm also not really looking forward to sitting around in a hotel lobby until I can get a room at 3 today. Also, I am tired and cranky, as I imagine is fairly obvious. Grump grump grump.

Kristin! Are you in Miami? Did you look at flights from FLL or PBI? I'd be happy to pop down and distract you for a bit. Go grab some Cuban food and/or coffee. You are also welcome to stay here tonight, but that depends on where and when you are flying out. I'll pop you my cell number....

oh laura, that's very tempting. I'm in the Miami airport right now, yes. For some reason I didn't think you lived anywhere near here. I've got a reservation at a nearby Holiday Inn, and to be honest all I want to do is sleep right now, but pop me a line and maybe we could meet up for dinner?
