I think it was Stephen Colbert who pointed out the irony of the GOP positioning Sarah Palin both as someone tough enough to take on Al Qaeda and as someone who needed protection from the Big Mean Liberal Media Elite.
I have the best husband in the world, because he went down to NYC Icy and brought me back an Icy Coffee. (Iced coffee with three scoops of coffee ice cream in it. TEH NOMNOMNOM.)
I keep trying to send psychic messages through the wall to Kristen's brain to get us some lattes. It is not working.
My stomach's growling because I'm still here at the office and haven't had lunch yet. I'll just have to talk myself out of stopping for something on the way home and getting lunch when I get there, although I've had Boston Market on the brain since I drove by one on my way here. Roast chicken is calling me!!
It's been pretty busy today here. The boss just mentioned that today was unusually heavy with clients. I'm getting familiar with the copy machine, since we were running low on forms.

According to ND, who has many conservative Christians on his Facebook friendslist (remember that ND grew up in a very conservative, right-wing town and went to a Christian high school), Biden has become a hotbed for conservative anger because of some comment he made about how paying taxes is patriotic. I happen to agree with him, but my point is that anger from Biden is not likely to be that effective for half the population regardless. Maybe it would make a difference to the undecideds, but how many of them are there anymore? Our country is frighteningly divided. It scares me.

My first ever web page was a tribute to the letter Z. I don't really know why, it seemed like the sort of thing the internet needed at a time. I was filling a niche.
Anyway, if it were still online I'd have all kinds of name suggestions. Zephyr was definitely on there.
Oh! Oh! And, Allyson! My youngest student came into lessons with her mom yesterday and...a stuffed bat! Turns out she's really really into bats right now and is combing the library for books about bats and knows all kinds of bat facts. So can she be on your beta list, please, please, she loves bats sooo much!
I won't see her again for a couple of weeks and I had to explain the concept of beta readers but she loves reading and loves bats and is pretty much exactly in your targer audience.
In that video, the kitty looks like he might be on Zyrtec, but I doubt very much he'll be putting sarameg to sleep!
