Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Gods, I hate writing rejection letters even more than getting them.

Bix Beiderbecke is a great cat name!

There is also, I think, only one cat who could be David Bowie. This guy:

Thanks for the birthday wishes, all! As I am now 42, am I also the answer to everything? Must ponder.

Happy anniversary to Plei and Paul!

My last cats before Maceo were Bandit and Otto. My roomie named Bandit - tuxedo boy with a mask, and I named Otto. He was a stout solid mackerel tabby. Otto fit. He also like to lay on his back like an otter, so he got called Otter, too.

sara, if you are still after mountains, one of my fave mountain names is Cloudripper, in the Inconsolable Range. Cracks me up every time.

Grisabella

A friend on mine has one named this!

Happy birthday, lori!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'm getting warmer so they are helping.

Whoo, I'm pretty much taking off at the most inconvenient time ever next week. And I.don't.care.

I KNOW!!!

Although, you think that David Bowie as a cat would maybe be kind of standoffish and Too Cool for School but this David Bowie was a total affectionate sweetheart.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Holy crap, lisah! That's totally David Bowie, the cat!

Seriously!

Good for you! You need the break, and can't your coworker take on the crap this time?

I have actually done some work from home already, so that's good.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Birthday Felicitations, lori!

And Anniversary Felicitations to Plei and Paul!

I'm afraid that I'd end up naming a cat something from the Broadway show, like Rumpleteaser or Grisabella.

Our old Jennycat was actually Jennyanydots--from Old Possum's Book before it was a show on Broadway. Yes, my children, there was a world before Broadways' Cats!
