This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You are correct! This one, anyway.

OK, slight reprieve -- they are leaving at 9:30, so I still have to get there early, but I think I can wake up at the regular time and just bust a move out of my house in the morning.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I've gotten all three of my Zappos orders overnight. I'm willing to test it on a fourth order.

I just got an exchange overnight. Seriously?

It's a brilliant business plan - promise overnight and most people are happy and some freak if they don't get it on time. Don't promise but mostly deliver - 99% of us love you and feel all special, nobody's calling in complaining, and the few people who really need overnight for sure maybe cough up an extra $30.

so instead of getting my shower tiled in the morning, I have to go in to print stuff out by 9. Yikes. At least I'm not really supposed to be using the shower... that'll save time in the morning, anyway.

I can actually print stuff to the office printer from home. [Thank you, John McCain!]

Oh, that would be sweet. There are still packets to put into a bag, though....

I just emailed my SIL asking if I can stay at the house. Uhg. I hate asking. I'm fine with OTHERS asking me, and happy to host if I can, but it feels so presumptive when I do it. Especially when the weekend will already be crazy. Also asking her to keep my visit a secret.

LKN: He just did that cat thing of showing me his butt. Good lord , he's got bigger balls than Mister Kitty! But he's getting snipped in early October.

Am I crazy that I don't want my super here when I'm not home? It's not that I don't trust him, but I want to keep my eye on the cat and stuff.

Nah.I always fret about that.

I have a sign on my door that says "Don't let the cats out!" (Hey, you probably saw it!) that I leave up due to paranoia. And lord knows I've told the resident maintenance men often enough that MK will try to "help" so they should shut him in the bathroom if need be. I really try to get the work done by the Jamaican guy, because he likes my cats, handles them well and I trust him because he's spoken up on my behalf before.

I did! Frankly, I'm more worried my cat would crap on the floor and I wouldn't be there to pick it up!

Ah, well. I'm afraid mine might gas them...

I figure they've seen all sorts of pets freak out and piddle or otherwise, they'll assume it is due to them.
