"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Emily, (re: Semitic languages): it's kindda the same in Hebrew, with the fem./mascu.. I remember the part about the "two" form in Arabic. And the thing that made my life so much easier, of course, was that every adj. that's referring to a group of objects, as long as they're not people, will be in the singular fem. form.

I kicked major ass analyzing verbs in Arabic (classify them into root/stem, fem./mascu., singular/plural, tense and conjugation(?). We did it almost every other class in high school, and I enjoyed it very much). I really hope I'll be able to improve it in university.

~ma to all who may need it.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I have a fruit fly infestation, and the solution I got off the web (plate of balsamic with soap to eff up the surface tension) doesn't seem to be making the difference. Irritating.

ita, put the vinegar in a wine bottle (1.5 liter is better if you have one). Flies go in and they don't come out. Eventually, recork it, swish them around and toss.

It was the only thing that worked for me.

Y'all are making me sorry I didn't watch Fringe. Kind of.

But I fully intended to watch The Shield, except that I unplugged my cable box last night and now that it's got power again it just blinks "000" at me. I'm hoping if I leave it alone for a while it'll reset itself or get therapy or do whatever it needs to do. Otherwise I'll have to take a morning to wait around for the cable dude/dudette.

Actually, that doesn't sound too bad. Except I'd have to clean, but I need to do that anyway. Hm.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Perkins: AS IS RIGHT AND PROPER. How does Brenda feel about this?

Well, the English teacher was trying to pump Brenda for information on the baby daddy, but Brenda didn't say anything really, but then Kelly got snitty with her for talking about her and baby daddy, so then Brends got snittier and accused her still being in love with Dylan.

But before all of that, they made a Donna Martin Graduates joke. That was funny.
