'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Here's where I found some noteworthy covers -- not all the scans are high quality, but some of them are choice (also a lot of eh stuff):

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Pancakes and strawberries with Blue Mountain coffee. Good, if late, breakfast.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Nice selection, Theo!

And different from The Pulp Gallery.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm trying to gather up enough umph to put on outside pants for a second time today and then actually go outside.

Dunno if that's going to happen though.

I'm impressed you had the energy to take your inside pants off already.

Should I go out and get the rest of the ingredients for chicken tikka masala? I need garam masala, ginger and fresh cilantro.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I'm exhausted. Much walking today.

And, while the morning started off great watching the cuteness of Matilda bouncing around, and the even cuter big brotherness of Emmett, it quickly devolved into an "I hate people" moment as I tried to negotiate the super-crowded Chihuly exhibit. Gorgeous stuff, but if one more person had stopped in their tracks to take a picture with their damn phone, I was gonna scream.

On the upside, I finally went up the observation tower at the De Young, had a tasty peasant pie for lunch, and snagged a cool fruit crate for $7 (the type with a colorful label on the end/top) on my way home along Irving St. I'm thinking of using it as a mini-bookshelf/bedside table.

I just bookmarked that site, David! I notice there's a fair amount of overlap, but still a treasure trove of old images and fun lurid story ideas. I could be making icons from here until next year....

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Back from Faire. It didn't rain. In fact, it was sunny and hot. Am a bit fried.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Gee, it's fun to hear about everyone's happy puttering this weekend. Personally I want to be eating with ita today, but hey, going out tonight to celebrate a dear friend's birthday and NOT BRINGING THE KIDS! Yay!

Right now I'm grading, of course, but I have a wee sup of wine beside me to take the sting out of it.

Also hair update: turns out it's dark, somewhere between auburn and brown. I think I want more red next time.
