Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks for the offer, Burrell. I should be okay tomorrow. Psychologically, I mean. I can only hope the swelling will have gone down some more. I swear it hasn't decreased significantly since day 2. At this rate, I'm going to still look like a freak when I meet my new recruiters. So much for first impressions. At least I don't have any interviews lined up.

US Open Women's Final: Doesn't Serena have a lovely smile? And she looked way happier about this win than her last US Open win, but I think she knows more about how hard it all is now.

Shir, how long will they be in for?

Teeth braces, Shir? Is that a new thing? Congratulations!

I am realizing how much I am online based on the fact that I have spent like, a billion hours chatting with the same person on instant messenger this week. After spending another billion hours hanging out with her. This is a little ridiculous.

Jumping online briefly to say that megan walker is a godsend and lifesaver who truly deserves a card with the title "Closet Boss" under her name.

She kicked my closet's ass.

I love how you've analyzed your cat, mostly because it sounds very plausible.

My cat often requires analyzing.

And now I'm all accomplished: fridge cleaned out, garbage done, litter box done, rugs in washing machine, recycling done, bathroom straightened up, living room area straightened up.

Can we take this Monday off too?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Teeth braces, yes. Yeah, it's new. I never understood the logic behind bending one's bones for beauty, but after my wisdom teeth started to get out and causing me much physical discomfort, it looked like it might be a good idea to get rid of the problems they caused without pulling them all out.

I miss being able to chew. Ouch.

It should be in for between a year or two.

Hivemind: what do you bring as a symbolic gift for a bachelorette party? I'm going to my first one this weekend, and I have no idea what to bring.

I got a substitute teacher on Friday because I apparently needed to sleep the entire day. She seems to have done fine, and all. Her name was Brittany. Does this mean there are people in my generation named Brittany, or that my sub was actually 16 years old? Discuss.

Barb - Sep 08, 2008 3:43:12 am PDT #7653 of 10003
“Not dead yet!”

Well, think about it: Britney Spears is 27. Brittany Murphy is 31. It's definitely possible. I think it's when the sub's name is Madison or Dakota that you have to really start worrying.

ION, did anyone see the pics of Evan Rachel Wood macking on Mickey Rourke? What is it with that chick and the strange older men? Is Woody Allen next?

Maybe she thought he was Mickey Rooney?
