Nah, I kind of think that's mostly true for all women about everything that goes on our bodies. Every single woman on What Not To Wear talks about how X, Y, and Z makes it uniquely difficult for her to find clothes that fit. I think everyone always has to try on a million things.
Absolutely true!
Mostly I wish that I could switch out my body for a different shaped one whenever I wanted so I could wear all different styles of clothing!
But I didn't mean to imply that even famous women who are flat are considered unattractive, rather that it was made very clear to me in my teens that my chest was something to work against in my desire to fashion myself as pretty.
That really sucks, and I can't relate, but I can imagine what it must feel like to believe there is absolutely nothing you can do to be considered attractive.
I don't think that large breasts are unattractive, but the complete dehumanizing objectification by both men and women is a difficult thing to overcome.
Actually, polling says the righties dig Palin, but the undecideds like Obama/ Biden. Especially women undecideds. So maybe it's not over yet.
Unless she's got more to offer than snark (which, so far, it doesn't seem she does from what I read about an appearance she made since her speech), the smirky sarcasm is going to get old really fast. I expect more undecideds to start leaning towards Obama/Biden. It'll continue to play well for the base, but I think it's going to turn into both a one-note act, and an off-putting one at that.

Weekend: I need to get more meds. . . clean house (alot). I'm hoping to get some knitting done.
And ion, is WX donefor? Earlier this week there was talk that it was a goner and I haven't been able to find the site - - is it gone for good?
The campaign is saying that she's not going to be giving interviews, or pretty much saying anything that isn't a totally canned speech. IOW, they're realizing just how much of a detriment she's going to be when she opens her mouth of her own accord. That's sure the way to pick a VP, isn't it?

::raises hand:: Or at least, find a good tailor, as flea said. I'm so completely hourglass that anything that fits my hips/thighs, leaves about a four-five inch gap at the waist. Or if it fits my shoulders and is long-sleeved, the sleeves hang past my fingertips. Add to that I'm short and skirts and sweats are my best friends.
I thanked the heavens the day I found Lucky Denim mid-rise jeans. The only jeans I can comfortably wear.
Also, from my own experience, the people who REALLY can't find anything to wear are like size 14-16 -- bigger than many "regular" stores carry, but still smaller than plus. At least, that was my experience shopping when I was busting out of my size 14 wardrobe. I couldn't shop anywhere!
I was actually happy when I became a size 18 because I could find clothes! Any clothes!
Lands End does custom shirts for women based on measurement. They are a little pricey, but not "sell a kidney" pricey.
Really? I couldn't find anything about this on their website, but if they do do something like this for, say, $50-60 a blouse, I'd totally buy it.
Oh man, how much do I love this, from lisah's link:
