And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Todd Palin works alternate weeks on the North Slope

Raise your hand if you live in Brooklyn and had to read this twice.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

And Cindy looks like a bad drag queen.

Even bad drag queens know enough to not make their legs look like Cheetos.

Also, Cindy honey, with your money you should be able to find a stylist who won't fry your hair.

She looks like she's trying to look like Patsy (or is it Edina) from AbFab, but failing spectacularly.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Here's a fun little factoid from Wikipedia:

In 2002, term limits prevented Palin from running for a third term as mayor.[32] Her stepmother-in-law, Faye Palin, ran for the office but lost the election to Dianne Keller[33] after Sarah Palin endorsed Keller, her cousin.[18]

That had to make for an awkward Thanksgiving.

“Not dead yet!”

Yeah, apparently she refused to endorse her stepmother-in-law because she was pro-choice. Didn't know that Keller was her cousin, however.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Theocrats to Pray for McCain's Death

After he becomes president, that is.

McCain's VP choice, Sarah Palin, suddenly made me want to vote for him, as long as the LORD smites him while he's in office. She's consistently conservative on all the issues, and if she's good enough for The Forerunner, she's good enough for me. The Forerunner agrees with me that McCain must be smitten, as well, so I'm obviously not alone in my viewpoints.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

The Forerunner agrees with me that McCain must be smitten, as well, so I'm obviously not alone in my viewpoints.

This is the least of the problems with this, but shouldn't it be "smote" or perhaps "Smited", not "smitten"?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

To put aside the Palinology for a sec, I wanted to share Scott McCloud on Google's Chrome.

Of particular interest (I'd think) to: shrift, Scola, amych, tommyrot, Gud, ita...

It starts getting seriously techy page 3-4.

eta: I think Chrome is going to give SA a stiffie, because I've never seen her have less than 9 tabs open at a time.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I don't think that word means what they think it means.

Unless they're hoping McCain gets a big crush on someone!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh, and just in passing, off Sparky's link, since Bristol and her cleaned-up honey are now in the spotlight, baby-holding duty has been passed down to the 13-year-old daughter. Don't these people own a stroller? Don't the men have arms?

Oh lord.

Mr. McCain gave Bristol Palin a hug, and then shook hands with Mr. Johnston and patted his shoulder. He stayed with the young couple a little longer than he did with anyone else, and his body language, as the cameras rolled, seemed to indicate that he was offering them his congratulations. Before moving on, he hugged Bristol Palin a second time, and embraced the couple together.

Then it was on to her little sister Piper, 7, whose hand Mr. McCain took and waved to the assembled cameras.

So, Willow, the daughter holding the baby is suddenly not even worth McCain's notice, or mentioning by name in the article? Typical.

And I see Track has been revealedreunited with the fam for the press, as well.

Finally, he greeted Ms. Palin’s son, Track, 19, who is to be deployed to Iraq later this month. Then his two of his own sons, Jimmy and Jack, who are currently in the military came over to chat with Mr. McCain and Track Palin.
