Look, Angel, I know you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm still evil. I don't do errands...unless they're evil errands.

Now tagless for your comfort.

This is the test to take the high road for the Dems. As tempting as it would be to act like the Right Wing Finger Pointers, it's just none of anyone's business but the girl and her family.

Let it be and don't dignify it with a response. Reporters and pundits need to shut it.

Librarian Warlord

msbelle, can I print that out and put that in my neighbor's hands? He's Jim Messina, who's the #2 guy on the Obama campaign, and he was home last night, so he might be around today.

Also, my admittedly biased, upper middle class reaction to this? "Geez, aren't any of her kids going to get to college? Poor kids."

eta:

Reporters and pundits need to shut it.

But they won't, which is a good reason for Obama to wish them well and frame it as a policy discussion, not a discussion about Bristol's specific choices (or lack there of).

What the smart lady said.

Indeed.

Wow - thanks y'all for making me fell well spoken - share away. Added bonus would be if the dems could make the statement NOT in direct response to the repugs, but as a response to any media that maybe gets mean right off the bat. Like a call to respect the family and leave this personal matter to them in privacy - go really high road.

ION - a boy just got hurt the playground. Fell backwards off a ladder and an ambulance had to be called. They have just loaded him up. Oh man, I hope nothing is broken.

Oh, poor thing. I hope he's OK.

I am enjoying my day watching a viewers' choice STNG marathon on Sci-fi and getting up to walk the (borrowed) dog every few hours. It's kind of awesome. Beautiful day out there, too.

At some point there is to be desk cleaning/organizing. We'll see.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

North Korean propaganda posters: [link]

My fave is the one with the smiling American soldier about to drop a North Korean baby down a well, while the baby's mother watches in horror. Or else the one with the woman feeding the goat.

Ooof. I feel sorry for Palin's daughter, because I wonder if there was really any other choice. I mean...sure. Maybe she wanted to have the baby and marry the father. At 17. But with your mom being governor and pro-life and now running for VP, if you wanted to have an abortion and never see the father again, was there really any chance that was going to happen? Or whatever, among your many other choices. But I hope she's happy. It certainly does shut down the grandchild rumors, no way she could've had the other one if she's currently five months pregnant!

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

The oldest son, Trey, is in the military, I believe. It was said that he was about to do an Iraq tour and I assume they have pulled as much info about him off public databases as they can probably with media assistance, to prevent him and his unit from becoming a target for any insurgent group looking to make a name for itself...
